OMG CLAMP crossova!

So, you all know in the CCS manga we see Kero reading something about Angelic Layer, right? That one is known by almost all fandom so far.

But I found another Wish crossover in the CCS anime! I think this is the third one, counting all Usyagi cameos. I never heard about this one.

I was browsing thedbarchives today, and I saw this screencap in episode 24. I squinted, tilted my head and checked the manga Kero-chan was reading, and oh surprise! The character drawn there looks like Kouryuu in SD from Wish!

So I went and forgot about OS1 practice looked for my Wish scans, and alas! This scene is a real one from Wish! Kero is reading WISH.

I uploaded the two pages so you can compare, here. The manga Kero-chan reads is more simplified in drawings, but it's the same exact scene. Isn't that cool? ^__^

I wonder if the angels' outfits didn't remind Kero of someone...

That's why I love Madhouse <3 Not that I hate BeeTrain (you know I'm one of its few supporters these days) but I highly doubt they could put things like that. In the first episodes I was even afraid they would take off some crossovers due to legal issues... ^^u

Yep, I think the CCS anime, with all the filler and the weird ending, is the most decent CLAMP animated version. It's too bad this detail of Kero reading Wish is so small it's hard to spot, but it's really cute. Not as much as Touya working in an usyagi suit, but really close XD

It IS cool. It was random, as I was glancing to see what kind of manga was Kero-chan reading, and then I see an old-fashioned CLAMP chibi. Too much of a 'coincidence' to be ignored.

Wow I never noticed that! Thanks for pointing it out. And coincidentally, I never actually saw the last of the CCS anime. Of course I watched the dub, but still. I don't remember if they even aired it, ah well.

I have the feeling it's the kind of scene that lasts three seconds or something. So catching it while watching it? I don't think it'd be possible. Unless it's recorded on VHS or you have a sub, and you can go back and click pause.
