By the way, is it me, or LJ has gone batshit crazy these days? I've seen people with really random icons that I'm sure they haven't uploaded, while there are some that won't display an icon at all. Is that a glitch?

And when you thought the FMA het subfandom is a bit saner than the slash subfandom, you stumble into jewels such as Envy/Winry or Ed/Izumi (yes, in that order). The hell?

I could try to beta your stuff. I'm not up to that part in FMA though, but the CLAMP stuff I could totally do. I rather like Clow/Yuuko and Touya/Yukito. My grasp of grammar is about as good as a non-english major can get.

I took that egyptian god test and ended up with Ma'at. Heh, I'm all truth and justice incarnate.

Wow, I love your layout! I used that image for mine too, but yours came out a lot nicer! ^_^ Yeah, that happened to my friend last night, it hasn't happened to me, though. Envy/Winry?? O__o ok then. I am a native speaker of English. I have a passion for correcting grammar (in written and spoken words). I'm a walking dictionary (and calculator), according to my friends (and enemies). I am known to be the one who will objectively proofread English homework for the joy of proofreading. I will objectively review another's work, without regard to the writer's status as friend or foe.

I read Chobits, Wish, and CLAMP School Detectives in their entirety. I've just finished reading all the published chapters of XxxHolic. I support Clow/Yuuko and Touya/Yukito. I've read all the CCS volumes but one. I've read two volumes of Tokyo Babylon (I want to read more in the near future). I read volume one of Gohou Drug and X/1999. (Tokyo Babylon is insanely popular at my local bookstore; it's hard to find a copy just to read in the store and not buy...I'm a bit impoverished and a bit unemployed, so I read manga in the store.)

Unfortunately, I have not been able to get my hands on any volumes of FMA manga (I have wanted to read it, but there are none in my library, and the nearest bookstore doesn't carry FMA). And I will never settle for the English dub of any anime.

I wish I could beta-read for you, but I do not fulfill all the requirements. I would love to beta-read the fics of series with which I am at least acquainted...but I am not worthy.

I blame it on the anime. They never show Izumi being all lovey-dovey with Sieg like in manga. Which sucks, really. She cares more about that brat Wrath than her husband? Meh.

I mean, I'm relieved Kyou didn't directly kill Kyoko like the fandom suspected, but I'm taking Kyoru so granted and I'm so certain Tohru will forgive Kyou for not saving her mom, it's getting me slightly bored. If you're not bored yet by my fandom posts (mostly CLAMP and FMA), I say go ahead ^^ I don't have problems with people reading me.

Ah, but it's not necessary you know all of them! I just said I'd prefer to, so I could only have one beta, but I was asking too much. While I know people who's up to date with CCS, HOLiC, TRC and FMA, they're not native speakers, like me.

But really, I think you could do great as a CLAMP beta, or at least for the CCS/HOLiC things. I don't write so much about the other ones, but I do plan to write minor TRC shounen-ai and shoujo-ai in the future. One of those couples could need being up to date with the Kurogane backstory, though, but I still don't have plotbunnies for them so it's not important yet.

My point is, don't let my requirements stop you. What I really need is grammar checking, and you seem to have that part right.
