Then again, that's the normal reaction as there's plot we're dreading because it's going to end up Bad (capital letter yes). But you know, every time it happens, we go through the same process:

- Clow gets mentioned
- Clow's face appears behind Yuuko
- Kirisame spazzes
- Translation appears
- There's no shipping hints or plothole filling
- Actually, there are more plotholes
- Kirisame's heart/brain breaks

How much do you want to bet it's going to be all over again?

This doesn't bode well.

ETA: This seems more of a Fandom Wank report than an average LJ post, except it's the opposite. WTF? What are their thoughts on ya...? Oh yeah, nevermind. I wonder if the hagaren_manga disaster will spawn once again in the CLAMP fandom.

And the translation? Did not help. Don't think you can solve this with a very very VERY nice image, CLAMP.

There isn't a HOLiC translation in any of my usual sources D:

I... don't really want to think about Xing Huo. Not yet, at least... in any case, they probably will forget about her for a while. Just like they forgot about Kyle's random dimension hopping, Fye's past, the entire Clow Country, etc.

You know what I was thinking? These chapters completely broke my brain, but when I looked at them closer, we didn't really learn anything new. I wonder how they DO that. On the other hand, it means my fics get to live for a few more weeks.

Nope, I think we haven't learned a thing ever since the Kurogane backstory. I mean, it's a good thing they, um, try to develop the baddy bat band, but they're just distortioning the rest of the characters' past with the brand new plotholes *coughs*Clowandnormal!Syaoran*coughs*

And yet, after this chapter, I have the sensation that, if I ever write a Clow/Yuuko good-bye fic, it's got to contain that phrase. Maybe I'm too much of a canon whore to go 100% AU.

I wonder if the radical X fans are having a fit over the fact the X world is driving away from, you know, X.

That's what bothers me, too. I'd love it if Tsubasa got deeper and with more develop characters, but do they need to fill CCS with plotholes in the process? T_T

Ah well, at least I was always very vague with my Clow/Yuuko fics. You always know you run the risk of canon contradicting you, so I tried not to make any big guesses... and no good-bye fics either, thankfully. (And I'm with you on that. It's one thing if canon contradicts what I wrote, but if I already know something happened I can't bring myself to ignore it.)

I haven't really payed attention to the X fandom. But at least this is an AU versio, it's not like they're poking plotholes in the actual X characters...
