I downloaded what I thought it was the episode 11 raw, when it actually happened to be a Chinese sub. Oh well, it didn't make a difference, as I'm saving the l33t-raws later releases for future screencaps.

To be honest, when I saw the screencaps and summary, I was concerned. And I thought I'd post about the episode in order to be bitchy like always.

Because I had heard they had dumbered Zashiki. And that had me worried.

Because suddenly Karasu Tengu were blond with white wings and looked like Christian cherubs in pimp cosplay. When they had black wings and hair in manga like the crow goblins they are (karasu = crow). Like this. I still want to meet the one in charge of color direction and slap him/her a bit, because that person has serious issues with canon images and too much of unused creativity.

But I found myself loving the episode despite of the weird plot changes and the strange adaptations to summer. Really. It's hilarious except for the Mokona tongue *shudders*.

Highlights of the episode:
- Watanuki sounding like an evil overlord when cooking the ohagi. Complete with mwahaha kind of laugh at the beginning, whispering and the evil!Eriol kind of face. Looks creepier than in manga, somehow. I guess because he's all sweaty and his eyes' black part is somehow snake-like. WTF.
- Everyone waiting for him at the door and being all dignified with bowing and all. Until the meatbun jumps to Watanuki's face and dances on it, that is.
- Yuuko making faces XDDD She really amused me this episode, unlike some others. I'm glad Oohara is improving her happy tone with time, also.
- Black meatbun (who I'll be least likely to be calling Mokona after the tongue) calling Watanuki "Wata".
- OMG the spazzzzz! XDDD I mean, there has been great Kimihiro spazzing in the past, but this episode had me into giggle fits with several chain spaz one after another XD Attention to the spaz when Watanuki decides to give the remaining ohagi to Himawari and leaves the shop like a maniac, with so many sparkles he looked like an Armstrong family member, and pouring the tea while waving his arm, and... XDDDDDDDDD Oh Jesus. You MUST watch the episode even if it's just for that part XDDD
- Watanuki breaks Yuuko's record on calling the doorbell. I swear.
- "Mommy, the 'niichan at the slide is creepy!"
- Watanuki's fantasy on Himawari's reaction, and how suddenly Himawari says "omae" with a deep, manly voice. And then he turns around and Doumeki is at the next swing eating the thing XDDD And more spaz. It's a miracle he can balance while having a tantrum!
- Zashiki's magic looks pretty. And so shiny.
- Zashiki's voice fits her a lot. And she sounds so cute and shy.
- Watanuki going matchmaker at Zashiki and Doumeki, and he pushes her to sit at the swing and talk to Doumeki while he sits in a rock hippo not faraway. Poor thing, her love interest is so dense.
- When Yuuko scares Watanuki, he lets his classmate go, and his head bumps into a close wooden fence with sfx and yellow impact polygons XDDDD Yuuko's voice when she speaks later makes it even funnier XDDD
- Giant eagles croaks at Watanuki XD
- Mokona saying "roger" in perfect Engrish.
- The flying scenes look great.
- Tengus appear from/because of Zashiki's tears. Not before that.
- Tengus' voices are awesome. When they speak all at once, they sound like they're magpies or something. They have normal voices, and it still works even better that way for contrast's sake (I for one kept hearing them as little kids, with high-pitched "you meeeeenie!!!" preschool voices, in the manga.)
- The eagle-and-Mokona vs. karasu tengu flying sequences were cool and funny.
- Then Mokona loses the reins and then Watanuki is smacked out of the eagle. Amusing how the one who delivers the final blow is the tengu who actually HAS the high-pitched voice!
- Really, her magic is pretty.
- The karasu tengu are still chased by the eagle while Watanuki starts talking to Zashiki XDDD
- She turns totally red XD So cute.
- ...And Watanuki is so dense he still doesn't get it until Ame Warashi shows up and explains it, to Zashiki's embarassment.
- Aww, she turns red again when Ame tells Watanuki she's a Zashiki Warashi. And she's tugging Ame's dress like telling her to shut it.
- And the tengu are still pissed XD And the tengu are still chased XDD
- Yuuko playing at the sandbox while they're gone XDDD
- Watanuki is amused when he's teased by Yuuko about having a Zashiki Warashi fancing him. It's funnier in the anime because she pokes him in the cheek.

Preview: Doesn't really gives me hints on Ohkawa-written filler. However! Watanuki is the one narrating it! WTF!

In the end? Yes, I liked it. Yeah, I'm surprised as well.
