Birthday aftermath
Again, happy birthday,
quitelife00!
Thank you to all who congratulated me yesterday. It was lovely, and it was the first time I felt so Internet-loved in a birthday *emo tear*
In real life, well I went to my mom's place so my brothers would give me their presents. They got me little things, like a bookmark (which is really creative: it's basically an elastic band with a mouse head made of plush in one point and two mouse feet in the other; so, when you put it inside the book, it looks like you have a splattered mouse between the pages [it's not as gorey as it sounds like; it looks cartoonish]), a new keyring and a new watch.
Mom had no money for presents (or giving me money), so she decided to give me her cellphone, which she never figured out. Which is the most useless present I could receive (well, not the most useless...that would be something like a thong, or better yet: anticonceptive pills or a box of condoms). Because I use my cellphones so little I always forget to recharge them! Also, it IS quite modern, but the style is so not me. Because it has pink parts with pink poppies painted all over it, and pink buttons, and a frigging heart hanging from it. And it's not a skinned model, so I can't take teh pink off it.
It looks like this, if you're curious. It looks pinkier in direct, really.
I don't know, I accepted it because I felt sorry for mom and didn't know what to do. The phone IS pretty, even though it's not of my taste.
But anyway, I had fun being at their place, doing nothing and spending time with the family. Like, glancing at my brothers' games, and discovering mom's new garden plants (and I just discovered I can't recognize smells for shit, and inhaling basil's smell for a long time is almost like smelling fresh paint), and watching the cat being silly (I swear, our cat was a dog in his past life).
My uncle was going to the post office to get me my books, but he forgot and lied to me (so Este and Setsu, it wasn't the postal service being idiots in the end!) So he went today, and now I have my Howl books and Good Omens, yay! ♥
He hasn't said if he was planning to pay me my books and/or giving me money, though. I think, in the end, this will be a moneyless birthday. Nnnng.
