This week's fandom posts are brought to you by the word "lame"
Granted, with all the weird shit happening these two last months, I've gotten used to being surprised even before the translations come out. I was expecting a certain degree of doom, and it doesn't fit my doom expectations because Sakura-angst doesn't count for me.
Said that, chapter 122 opinion in two words: "meh, lame".
It's lame because it's all stuff we've seen coming. No, really. People called everything, so it's sort of predictable.
- Sakura waking up and not being able to do a thing? Predicted. Lame.
- Kurogane noticing the batsign? Predicted. Lame.
- Everything disposed so nobody else but tank!Syaoran is capable to fight against psycho!Syaoran? Predicted. Lame.
(Gee, Sakura, you're such an useless Mary Sue. Other speshul princesses would've saved their significant other from madness with Teh Powaa of Twoo Wub (TM) already. Then again, none of them have a batshit dual CLAMP character as a soulmate prospect...)
Meanwhile, I think I'm just getting confused over the concepts of "tamashii" (soul, spirit) and "kokoro" (mind, heart, spirit) in Tsubasa. Basically, Sakura lost her tamashii, while the yin-yang is Syaoran's kokoro, am I right? But what's the main difference in this series?! I've seen kokoro being used as soul in other fandoms.
Also, I'm fucking sick and tired of the Mokona bashing! It's a goddamn character with qualities and flaws like everybody else, not a perfect plot device who shouldn't fail! Every character has the right to making errors and mistakesjust like Kurogane and Fye, actually. Don't they see the "108 techniques" was just teasing? I mean, none of this techniques were any serious.
So really, leave the fuzzy creature alone. He/she/it is not useless and has done a lot for your ship(s) just by existing. And stop calling him/her/it a manjuu in a despective sense; only Kurogane is allowed to do that, and he isn't even calling Mokona a manjuu right now, I think.
I'm off to reading something less lamer.
