...Hello Haruhi?! WTF O_oU
FMA 62 is awesome. Everyone was awesome this chapter. But see, I'm extremely amused because Al/Mei has an actual basis now XDDDD Dude, it really didn't take her even five minutes of knowing Al's true nature to make her fangirl mental image, did she? XD Then again, blame it on Alphonse-sama since he was the one describing himself with cool adjectives in contrast with Ed. Tall? Blond? Gentle features? A gentleman? He was asking for it XDDDDD
And since they're searching for Mei, this could end going further.
Also, I marathoned Princess Tutu because the flist wouldn't shut up with the recs. And I enjoyed it largely, actually. This is maybe the most entertaining mahou shoujo I've watched. First, since it's short, it doesn't drag or get monotonous like, say, Sailor Moon (and mind you, I had my share of flashbacks on the first season of SM). Second, the frequency of story turns (sometimes literally...) makes it impossible to get obvious, even when following cliches. Because that's the thing. Cliches get softened when the characters change their roles so quickly. There's no such thing as protagonists and antagonists. If anything, the evil comes from the story itself, a character of its own taking Drosselmeyer as its avatar, and not the father raven who is just 2-D. The ending, also, is atypical. I'm not explaining how because I don't want to spoil it, but it's what you normally weren't expecting: not the happy ending most corny girls could expect, but not the OMGtragedy!!1! Drosselmeyer wanted to happen. It's something in between, and I actually liked it a lot because of that.
My favorite character ended up being Fakir. I didn't expect this, either. Actually, if someone had told me while I was on the middle of the series that I'd actually love him the most, I would've thought they were delusional. Because, I shit you not, my first impression of him was that he was an abusive bastard. Obviously, he proved me (and Ahiru) wrong slowly. He's the one who grows more as a character to the point he's just kickass. Hands down. I liked how his role changed so much to one that made him way more useful.
But really, I like all characters in their own way. (Except Ahiru's blonde friend, because she's just too creepy. Like a mix between Tomoyo and Tamayo, on drugs or something.) It's rare I don't dislike Ahiru, considering how I tend to feel over that kind of character and how much visually speaking she looks like Hikaru from MKR in her normal form, but I can't help it. Because she's a clumsy duck. I love ducks. And she's seriously cute without being too cheesy or too angsty. I ended up liking Mytho and Rue, bad first impressions aside, because they grew well as characters in the end (and I can't say more about them without spoiling.)
Random final thought: Neko-sensei is crazy XDDDDDDDDDDDD Gotta love him.
