Yayayay

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] etrangere! ^_^

Sorry, I still haven't made you something D:

I went to the library today and borrowed Coraline by Teh Gaiman, and a translation of Genji Monogatari. And since I had the Xing rush, I also took out a book about tales from the Tang dynasty. Speaking of Xing...

Such a cool chapter, squee!

I can't really talk about the plot, since the translations aren't done (WTF Armstrong sister), so I'll go about the part I know. And the one I find oh so important ever since chapter 34 came out. Yes, it was one of my tiny-but-significant-for-me questions: What's THE relation between Fu and Lan Fan? God, finally! After months, even years, of wondering how close in their family they were, I have an answer!

Grandfather and granddaughter!

More Xing canon, thank you Holy Cow! <3

And it was so heart-breaking, how Fu at first looked very angry to the point of slapping her, because she had lost her arm and left their master alone and about fucked their family up. And then he's more mortified because the girl lost her arm, and she's all "I'm sorry, jiisama, I'm sorry!" And they both look so sad...

That was so... dammit.

Mr. Fu rocks. And he looks rather elegant in the Amestrian suit. No surprise Lan Fan looks so sexy and cool with the dark trenchcoat, because duh!

Now kids, let's play a game! Greedling's back of his hand: Arakawa forgot to draw the ouroboros, or... something happened in this gap of days :O ? What do you think? I'm looking forward to see whether it's a blooper or not. I say it's a blooper, but she's so detail-oriented in her art I have my doubts.
