Yeah, I know it's for the eighth movie. Personally, I don't care if the movie looks bad or it was recycled animation from the anime cut and pasted for two and/or so hours (which I read it's not going to). Because it's Alabasta, bitches! :DDDDD They could have something as stupid as half an hour of filler with Igaram in drags dancing the hula and I'd still not care because... it's Alabasta, bitches!

And yeah this movie is a retelling but at least it is not filler. It might actually be kind of cool. I kind of want to see it in the theaters when I am in Japan but my friends aren't One Piece fans. :(

Hell, if it was filler set on Alabasta I'd still watch it! I just adore that country that much. I still like it even though it might not have anything new to tell.

Aww, that's a shame. But at least it'll be subbed so it doesn't matter much if you can't watch it over there.

She did appear again in one of the latest chapters as the strawhats were leaving Enies Lobby and the wanted poster were going around. Ah, I kinda wish there was another Alabasta arc later but I know these arcs are one and one only D:

Yeah, I know! And Cobra, and Igaram, and Chaka, and Pell, and Carue. I wasn't even up to date with the manga at that time, and I still downloaded the raw :P

Yeah, it's a shame but probably it's better this way.

I'm still kinda glad that in one cover story they went back, with the spring waters and all the Alabasta characters (even the animals!) chilling over there. It was kinda cracky but cute.

I think that about sums up my feelings on Alabasta. I'm pretty excited for the movie because imho- a retelling of an arc as awesome as Alabasta is probably going to be lots better than original filler material.
