What is Murphy's law? (Baby don't hurt me....)

Just the minute I pay and had spent all my money (I mean it, it really was ALL my money, I don't even have enough spare change for coffee -or in my case, hot cocoa, whatever) in books, I decide to check the videogame section up just to find out Okami finally came to town, after weeks of waiting.

...

Oh well. Next month it is... -_-

But on the meantime, I have two new books (not counting the Discworld from Friday because they're rereads) to procrastinate with:

- Anansy Boys by Teh Gaiman. I thought American Gods was pretty good, so I want to read this one a lot.

- Artemis Fowl and the monster inside his chest and the Half-blood Prince: The Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer <- er, guilty pleasure of mine, this series.

I'll have fun, I'm sure. And by flipping the last pages of the latter, I was relieved to see the fucking spoilers I saw last year in a forum were FAKE (well, not really fake, but incomplete) and I was angsting over nothing a good deus ex machina can't cure.

I also saw Wicked, which tempted me because it sounds like fun, but it was more expensive than the two books I got. And Hogfather by Teh Pratchett is already in Spanish, but I guess I'll wait for the library to get it or the paperback to kick in: whatever it comes first.

I was actually pretty unimpressed by Anansi Boys, myself, but I've never read American Gods.

That's the new Artemis, isn't it? Haven't gotten to read it either, but it's my guilty pleasure omg teen fiction as well.

Wicked is a decent book, but I personally hated the ending. Hated, hated, hated. Ruined the book for me, I'll never read it again. But then again, you and I have different tastes. I would recommend getting it from the library, though.

Yes, I read everything I can get my paws on.

Ngh...

I loved the new Artemis-I hope you do too!

I used to think Artemis Fowl is some sort of pre-teenish book when I found it in my highschool library but I guess it's enjoyable for all the ages, just like harry potter!

I hated hated hated Wicked as well. But not just the ending. If you take all of the cool parts of the book, you may have a total of ten pages. The rest is stupid and completely sucks the magic out of Oz.

Anansi Boys is cute and charming, but it's not American Gods. It's just a fun, romantic comedy. If you expect too much you'll be disapointed.

I only got twenty pages into Wicked before giving up. I might get back to it, but so far it was very meh.
