Go go Tao Rangers...?
So, I've played Okami for over 25 hours now (in total, that is, since last Wednesday; don't you get scared). Oy oy. But it's the only thing the toothache lets me do, so yeah.
Also, I've checked (not always watched, though) almost every Youtube clip on Okami, including Japanese footage because there's ironically more of that. Which is lolarious, because I got confirmations of the fact Waka's fanboy French was not to make him sound like Gambit, but because they tried to sorta translate the fact that good old Ushiwaka says a lot of words in English in the original.
The problem with Okami is that there are so few videos in such low quality the AMVs look pretty much the same. And several people just use trailer clips as sources, to make it worse. But here are a couple that felt different, because they're also focused in action and crack.
This one has low quality, but the trance song fitted the imagery a lot (sometimes with very amusing results) and that compensates a lot. Besides, minor characters, imps, and brush gods 'dancing' to the music -sometimes literally.

This one looks more HQ since this person rips their own videos (I I'm leeching the ones s/he's uploading at youtube :D). The only problem is that it's a bit more spoilery than the previous one, but if you don't plan to play this game then whatever. It's still amusing to watch, with minor characters also, and some scene choices cracked me up.

That out of my system, Issun so drools over the ladies XD Then again, in his first appearance he WAS inside a spirit's cleavage after all. But the kid is getting more flirty as the game passes by. Of course, no racked human lady would look at him twice since he's smaller than their little finger. A tragedy indeed.
Issun: *after meeting thelesbian dragon ladies* How come we only meet babes these days? When was the last time we saw a man anyway?
Me: That fisherman wearing the thong loincloth *winces* And all those people on the northern coast. Ah wait, you mean bishounen? Yeah, point. And it was Waka on the way here.
Conclusion is, Issun only has good memory for boobies.
And returning to Waka. The more we know what he's (supposed to be) doing, the more dorky and confusing his character results. AND BOY DO I LOVE THAT. I just want to point at the Tao Rangers (WHAT XD I'm trying to imagine how the group was called in Japanese [onmyourangers? wouldn't be surprised] and I can't) Headquarters. If an alien-tech'ed office decorated as a gothic church (*dies*) with two underlings who call you a captain can be considered a headquarter. That's... that's so batshit, Waka. And yet, I can't stop giggling.ILU! ♥
Speaking of aliens, Kaguya-hime returning to the moon in a rocket (or how the characters called it, metalic bamboo she came in) FTW. If this wasn't so Japanese even with the jokes, I'd swear they were making a Smallville or Roswell parody.
But the most LOL ALIEN WTF LOL part is something at the ending of the game (I told you I spoiled myself). That's so cracktacular it's fantastic. Even better than the cow abductions at Majora's Mask.

The fact it'll never have a sequel (actually, I'd rather have a prequel, particularly with the fight against Orochi on the Celestial Plains and pre-game!Amaterasu and Waka, but I'm not sure that'd be enough for game material even if Clover still existed; or maybe a spinoff about Waka and the Tao Rangers in a Torchwood kind of way, but that's the fangirl in me speaking) is really sad, but on the other hand it makes it more precious and perhaps a sequel could've been lamer.
