It's against my religion to choose one, dammit!
Yes, sure, the quiz maker meant TRC to be the correct choice, and I know where it comes from because duh, but... For Cephiro's Mokona's sake, my mind and fingers are unable to process CCS as a fake choice. Because that one does have ties to it too, y'know?

Also, fandom. The Clow Reed Yuuko met? 99.9% sure it's Teh Clow Reed From The Cards Fame. You know why? Because that one had two guardians called Cerberus and Yue.
Is it too hard to ask for the metacanon to be read before breaking out the cracky TRC/HOLiC theories? ...Oh, right, it is.

Also, I think the metacanon is really hard to get and people shouldn't be forced to read it. But in this case that's no excuse, because Yuuko says in the actual canon that she knows Teh Clow Reed who made Sakura's staff.

As Clow Reed has the potential to be raped in the butt equally in both current mangas, I'd say the three mangas are linked enough to influence each other.
But the HOLiCverse includes a huge amount of manga happening in its world: HOLiC itself, CCS, TRC in some pages, Gohou Drug, Suki Dakara Suki, Kobato.
About the second thing, I was being sarcastic in the last sentence. But considering how people don't reread canons before pulling the crack, I wouldn't be surprised the staff-and-cards slipped through their mind or they thought there might be TWO Clows who have made staffs for their Sakuras. I mean, if someone can still say seriously that Sakura and Syaoran might be Watanuki's parents and he was brought to the past by someone when they died, when Watanuki actually remembers his father enough to recall his cooking lessons and yet can't recognize familiarity from the TRC ones, I'm not surprised by fans anymore.

People say that Watanuki's... parents... wha??? O____O What the hell, fandom. I'd never seen that one.
What I did see are people going "I hope Watanuki's dad is Eriol! ♥ " Well, I hope he isn't. Because then he'd be DEAD. ¬_¬

Someone mentioned it in a TRC comm, and I didn't have the heart to comment on it. This (http://morgif-kun.livejournal.com/25833.html?style=mine). And hell, it wasn't the first time I saw that, but the time travel thing was... definitely new, to say the least.

And Dumbledore is really Ron! :D

By the way, yeah, sillyness aside let's hope Watanuki's parents are no one we already know. I know I made a lot of theories when it wasn't hip yet, but I'm of the "Watanuki is related to Clow but in another dimension plz" school.
(I'm also of the "if R!Syaoran isn't a relative from another dimension, I'll kick a puppy" school, incidentally.
Stupid Fei Wang, giving the OMG-he's-totally-Li-kun!! supporters more arguments last week...)no subject
But there is no possible way Clow did not meet Yuuko because someone had to have drunken debates with her about dolphins.

...Why dolphins? (And now remembered the drunken debates about birds sharpening their beaks in mountains in Good Omens)

I don't want R!Shaoran to be CCS!Shaoran, but I have no idea of what's going on there so I guess I'm expecting the worse. D: I have the feeling that when Tsubasa ends, I'll end up writing only fics where I don't need to mention it at all, so I can pretend it never existed...

and if Watanuki lives in the same apartment as he did when he was little and met Cherry-tree-boy then he lives in the same building as Kobato and Fujimoto.Because I'm on a Neil Gaiman kick. And if they're not debating about dolphins then it's about what colour the Clow staff should be because for ten drunken minutes Clow thought Touya was his successor.

I don't know, man. No matter how drunk Clow is, my characterization is unable to make him hit that level of absent-mindedness. There's no point to discuss the color of a staff or the true successor when that's something he knows as the palm of his right hand. (in what Gaiman novel/comic dolphins are mentiones?)

I think I had once, when he was ten or something, and not quite getting bombarded with visions yet (I also have this thing that he doesn't quite get bombarded with visions until he goes to place that doesn't seal magic
Hogwarts' Library or Hogwarts in general or Ollivander'sand he goes into a sort of overload because magic seeps into everything, including people) and feeling the need to have an heir centuries after he was born, he got into daddy/mummy's wine and had his first vision (because it was damn potent), which was of Touya pointing out a person with a cracked skull to Sakura, who couldn't see them. He thought it would be nice if that kid had a big staff to protect his baby sister with, but he couldn't decide which colour.Dolphins are mentioned in Good Omens, just before they argue drunkenly about the bird.
