Back!

Back home. So, we went to the summer carnival in El Burgo last night. Since I still have teeth problems, I just rode the ferris wheel, thinking it was tame, but wasn't exactly an easy ride since it was totally unstable and fast and made with shabby materials. Ugh.

Also, the giant speakers with techno music (each speaker playing a different song, to make it more special) were made of special. Oh, sonic pollution...

At least my mom bought me two bags in the flea market. One is a bluish gray messenger bag, the other a black tote bag. I like them a lot, and can't wait to use them. She wanted to get me a black leather handbag, but everything she'd show me was too adult for my style (yes, I'm aware I'm 25 and I lack an actual style, shut up).

Brother Danny bought a bow with arrows and a gun that shoots little balls. No, I'm not kidding. Yeah, it is creepy. He's not aiming at people, but it's still scary. Hopefully he'll run out of ammo soon.

So! I'm looking forward to September and the third Avatar season. It looks so fucked up and badass, even with Aang's interesting hair. (Also, are Zutarians wanking yet? XD)

I replied on an Avatar message board that I thought the Mai/Zuko kiss was gorgeous. Not one mention of Zutara and they jump on me that Zutara might not have a chance but they can't see Maiko making a comeback either. Talk about being in denial.

Yeah, even if she had a crush on him when they were little... It'd be funny if Maiko becomes the new Harry/Ginny; it certainly has the potential, at least.

I don't know. I dislike Harry/Ginny so I hope that isn't the case. I already find Mai to be a much more interesting character than Ginny in Harry Potter. And Zuko is no Harry. But we'll see. I hope the writers are not just going to make Mai a love interest of Zuko.

Oh no, I meant in a fandom way, not in-canon. Just like Zuko/Katara is sort of like Harry/Hermione in that they have crazy fen who abuse symbolism and get into flamewars with the other people who ship the girl with the other main possible guy (Kataang). If Zuko starts liking Mai, the Zutarians will bash the hell out of her, making it look like Harry/Ginny (in a Harmonian point of view, that is).

Well that is already happening. A large chunk of the fandom thinks Mai is too evil for Zuko. Or that Mai has no personality so obviously she is no good for Zuko. I mean Zuko is the fangirl treasure so obviously he can do no wrong (he's my favorite character but it's pathetic how most of his fans can't see that Zuko is far from perfect).
