Catsitting, day 4

No news, besides some vomit on a carpet.

I'm really sorry about last night! I tried to test a new LJ feature, but it gave me errors. Then I went to bed. The posts posted themselves while I was sleeping D:

Right, so... I'm up to date with Denno Coil now. And I'm loving it! It's refreshing to see anime about kids without moe lolita crap: actually, the character designs are all Ghibli-like. The animation and art are delightful, be them in action scenes or passive ones. I particularly enjoy the world they live in, with the holographic systems, the features, the hacking toys/tags, the virtual animals or things, the Illegals, the bugs, the old space, the mysteries. It's all fascinating, and available just by wearing special glasses!

I like there is a plot behind the episodic, and we just discover more new things with it. Funny enough, there are more hacker hijinks than real detective work (at least for 'mega-ba', because Haraken's research is kind of like detective work as it is now). I still like the episodic things, and see them more as world-building and good excuses for characters to interact than fillers. Actually, the last three episodes, all involving the kids getting close to Illegals, were so good.

Character wise, I'm liking them all. I find hard to point at favorite characters, which is odd in me. I am more intrigued over Isako's intentions, and Haraken's plot, but the other kids are so cute and weird I really can't pick them above the rest. Especially not after the last episodes with Daichi and Denpa shining so much, for instance. Yasako and Fumie I've liked since episode one, and Kyouko grows on me. 'Mega-ba' is one of the most amusing grandmothers ever. I like how the auntie calls the satchii "Pochi" like they're puppies XDDD But when she's flirty with Haraken I think it's a bit weird XP Angelic Layer kind of weird.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this anime. I like the combination of mystery and hijinks, and kids being kids most of the time, and awesome technology. And of course, the mojos and the Illegals.

ETA: The festival episode made me wonder if I wasn't watching an episode of CCS or something XD Suddenly ALL the boys were blushing. It's like, dude, these girls are running on skirts all the time and you drool when they're wearing yukata? Oh Japan, your sons have peculiar kinks.
