Yuletide! (sticky general post)
Whoa. I went through a lot of flailing and anxiety before opening my (REAL) assignment email. I was just SO SCARED I'd get something hard to write, you know? I'm normally someone who only writes the characters she's comfortable with, which is why I never signed up before to Secret Santa games. I even had to go through my app two days ago to remove a couple of fandoms I had seconds thoughts for (and considering my gremlin email, I'm glad I did!)
So I open the email. I read the fandom I offered. And then I breathe. I'm sure I can write this couple! Meaning that I won't feel weird or WTFed, because luckily they're characters I really like and I know I can have fun coming up with a plot for them.
Then it's amusing, because I check the other three fandoms and there's this character listed in one of them that, while I've never attempted to write him/her and I didn't offer the fandom, I reckon it would be so sweet to write introspection and family-oriented gen for. So now I'm thinking I could write that request as well because it's made of win.
So I don't know XD I'll attempt to do both. If it doesn't work for one, then I'll just focus on the other. We'll see. Besides, just by poking a bit I've found betas for both fandoms.
I'm so relieved. I really am. I can do this person.

Dear "Santa" (considering the wank, I'm hoping the term doesn't offend you):
Hi there! I'm hoping the request I made didn't freak you out or anything. I tried to do them as open as possible, except in a couple of cases.Except I ended requesting a couple in a fandom and a character in other, so I might be kind of lying. I'm not that picky; as long as the characterization is canon-compatible and not terribly OOC, I'll like it. I'm an introspection and gen whore, mostly. I like focus on characters and their environment, and the way they think and act in general. So If you can't come up with an epic plot or twist or way to pull the couples I like, it could be perfectly fine to do a character study of any character I mention in the optionals, or silly slice-of-life situations without a point.
My turn-offs are OOC, non-con and rape, uke-seme clichés, stuff that's too kinky like BDSM -actually, I'm pretty much vanilla, and much rather romance or soft erotica/foreplay to hardcore porn-, bestiality (unless the 'animal' is sentient and gets a human form), incest, alter-ego pairings, mentor/teacher-student pairings, sexual situations with shouta (which is not the same to age gaps of any kind; several years later fics and/or the 'kid' as an adult is fine, and so is romance with people who look like boys but are older. It's the kiddie porn I'm not into), genderbending, crossdressing or role-playing when the character isn't into it in canon, an eternal sea of woes and angst.
I'm into fluff, humor, introspection like I said, minor characters, precanon fill-the-gaps, loyalty and friendship and companionship, that the characters won't forget about personal goals, friends, and family after getting someone to love. I enjoy witty things that'll make me think about stuff the canon plotlines never exploited entirely or at all. I'm more of a romantic than a smutty girl; I like sap in moderation, if it's IC for the characters. I'll be honest and say I rarely read porn, but I won't mind if you include it in your piece as long as it doesn't have any of my squicks. Moreover, I'll tell you a secret: depending on the pairing, sometimes I'm just satisfied with seeing them talking or bantering, not even requiring snogging. If writing AUs, I'd prefer similar settings or tiny canon variations than high school stuff or "X is a stripper in Vegas!" kind of plots. (Unless you're writing me CLAMP: TRC versions of the characters would be okay.)
...This is getting tl;dr O_o So let's wrap this fast with fandom specifics, although I said most of it on the requests.

I'd be a happy fool if the story was Waka-centric or at least has him as a character, but if you can't write him it's okay :) Oh, and I'm a sucker for precanon, so something before the main storyline (not only Shiranui era, but even before!) would be really cool. But at this point, anything for this fandom is good enough.
If you signed up for this fandom, I just love you by default. I meant it; I just want fic of this series, period! So badly. Like I said, anything with Ushiwaka I'd love it. Shiranui-era stuff (I want young Ishaku) and even interpretations of the Celestial Plain era would make me swoon. But also, friendship fics, canon married pairings (Susano/Kushi, Fuse/Yatsu, the Oranges, Amaterasu/Waka), stuff focused on tribes other than normal humans (Celestials, Lunars, Poncles, Sparrows, Draconians, and the lovely Oinas), spotlights on any character that didn't appear much. For pairings that aren't canon, if you must know, I like human!AmaWaka (favorite pairing), Oki/Kai, Samickle/Tuskle, Oki/Samickle (although I prefer the previous two; blame it on Japanese fanart), Waka/any tao trooper (but nothing too serious), Himiko/Rao. Actually, I don't like OkiAma as a romantic pairing that much.
Note: I'm fine with either Japanese or English names.
CLAMP School Defenders Duklyon: Eri Chusonji/Kotobuki Sukiyabashi
I'd love to see more fluffy het fic with these two.
Very straight-forward, but I'm flexible. You can toss Ken/Take and make Erii/Kotobuki the secondary pairing if you have problems. Or even fic about just one of them with mentions of the other. Or crackfic with subtext or mentions to their relationship. As long as the pairing is there somehow... I'd really, really prefer them to be the focus if possible, though. There are lovely gaps in canon to fill.
The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (manga): Any
Genfic with Loki and his children would be adorable. Something with Freyr would rock, really. For shipfics, I'd much rather seeing Loki being shipped with someone who isn't Mayura or Heimdall or Utgard-Loki (Loki+Narugami, either as friends or something else, would be great), if he must be shipped. Otherwise, I'm all for anything.
I think I covered everything between the tl;dr and the request. Please see my squicks before plotting. I must confess I haven't finished the manga yet (I'm waiting for two or three volumes of Ragnarok to be released here), but I don't mind being spoiled for the ending. (Oh, and also, I didn't comment on the request that I used to ship Heimdall/Freyr in animeverse. Not that it's as easy to make that work in manga as in anime, but if you feel like it you may try.)
RG Veda: Kujaku
Just about anything focused on Kujaku would be great. I understand it's easier to go with angst because duh, it's RG Veda and just take a look at his life, but if you write Kujaku angsting I'd like to see even a tiny ray of hope or optimist in the piece (if it fits your plot, that is; otherwise nevermind)
And even though I said I hate excessive angst, I go and ask for Kujaku fic *facepalm* So like I said, in this case you certainly can do angst in here because well, it's hard not to touch it, and I'm fine with it. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable if you write pairings involving Kujaku that break canon couples (especially Yasha/Ashura).A friend once told me Kujaku/Tenoh is hot, and I agreed. But besides that, bring anything you want, angsty or not. I think he's the best RGV character, so I want him to get more love.
ETA: Also, I think I wouldn't like fic focused on other character or a pairing that just mentions Kujaku very much. A pairing seen from his point of view is fine, but Kujaku seen from a pairing (particularly post!ending Yasha/Ashura)'s POV? No, not keen on that.

But the stuff above are just ideas (except for the turn-offs, I do mean that) and I'll probably be fine with anything you can write me. I'm sorry if I sounded hard to please!
