Bad news: Even with the new reformatting, Larg (the desktop) refuses to actually SHOW me the graphic interface. WINDOWS KEEPS FREEZING WHYYYYY. I'm fearing this means the graphic card is deader than dead for some retarded reason.
Good news: I could install the printer/copier/scanner to Soel (the laptop). So there won't be a problem.
Moment of "D'oh!": I totally thought the printer didn't work on USB, but that other obsolete parallel bus I can't remember the name now. It turns out I mentally confused this one with the previous printer we had, so I could've plugged the thing to the laptop since the fucking beginning, saving one day of facepalm and lack of sleep and not-really-studying.
I'm going to bed now. I just can't fucking believe this.
