Not the same egg. Could they be twins?! Click and we'll find out!
Well, I think I'm up to date with most memes and previous comments now. I've been neglecting LJ way too much. I'm really sorry for not commenting on your posts and stuff. I'm a really bad LJ friend.
Also, this weekend I discovered that I'm a spoiler whore when it comes to videogames. It's an odd thing. I don't want people to spoil me books. Anime or manga or TV, it depends on the series. But with games, most of the times I just go and read summaries or check on youtube way before I can finish the game. I'm too impatient to wait till I get to it, since I'm so slow I might as well never end it at all. Sometimes I never even finish the game, as a matter of fact.
It gets even more special when I spoil myself the whole plot before I can actually buy the stupid game. It's happened twice so far. Three times if you count the time

And when I don't want to spoil myself, I manage to be accidentally by others. Thanks, fandom!secrets, for hinting about Godot and Kristoph's plots. Thanks, random neighbor kid, for telling me who Sheik really was.
General
1. What was the first video game you have ever played?
...Pacman, I guess. And all those random games my mom's Atari had in its hard drive.
2. What was your first console?
Atari 2600. But the NES was the first one I actually enjoyed.
3. Have you ever visited a video game arcade?
When I was little.
4. What was your first handheld?
The GGG Gameboy (the G's stand for "grande, gorda, gris", translated "large, fat, gray"; la triple ge)
5. What was the first game you've beaten/cleared completely? (Got to the last level/got 100%/beat high score, etc.)
The ONLY game I've done completely was Super Mario World. Yeah.
6. Games based off of real sports: Yay or Nay?
...*shudders* Not even fictional sports like Quidditch, guys.
7. Online games: Yay or nay?
I get tired after a while.
8. Do you play any Massively Multiplayer Online RPG games? (MMORPGs?)
No, they have cooties. WoW is like marijuana, man, and you know you have to say no to drugs. I did some Ragnarok Online back on the day, but I dropped when my pirate server died.
9. Do you play any virtual pet games? (Neopets, Teripets, Aftermathzone, etc.)
I have a Neopet account. Sometimes I revisit to play Pyramids. I don't even care about the pets or the objects, just let me go for solitaire.
10. Puzzle games and Strategy games: Yay or Nay?
Puzzles: MFY. Strategy: N.
11. Do you play any RPGs?
RPGs and I have a rocky relationship. They flail at me like peacocks in heat, with their pretty colors and characters, and I give them a chance. It all ends when I'm halfway the first disc (or just done with two or three big bosses, if it's a DVD) and I realize I don't care much about the characters or the plot anyway to level my ass off for them. Then I pick up something else, and forget about the game for ages. Might or not read spoilers to know what I missed and that's it.
I know it sounds silly considering I'm about to start Tales of Symphonia, but I have high hopes because I already know several characters from RPs and I read the manga scanlations, so I might click with some of the cast. I'm already attached to Sheena before starting the game.
Funny enough, I CAN play RPGs very well if they're mixed with other genre. I enjoy Odin Sphere because it's more brawl than roleplay. And LOL Puzzle Quest.
12. Do you play any Platformer games?
Okami and Zelda are my favorites, bitches.
13. What was the first game/console/handheld of yours that stopped working?
The NES.
Characters/Plot
14. Do you actually care if a game has a plot or do you just play games for the gameplay?
Eh, it depends of the genre. Some genres just don't need plots. Normally the plots in fighting games are most shooters, for instance, are kind of silly to me. Besides, look at whimsical things like Pokémon and Katamari and all those music games: they barely have a premise but they're so addictive.
And yet, in my adventure and RPGs, if I can't get hooked to the plot, I stop caring and forget to play them again. But in the rest, I couldn't care less. Unless it's, like, Mario. Mario's plots are silly as well.
15. Name a few video game characters that are your favorites.
USHIWAKA.
...
Okay fine. That's THE top favorite. No secret that lately I'm identifying with Ema Skye a lot, while Klavier Gavin won me over with his dorky rock and roll. My first crush was Link in Ocarina of Time, although it took me ages to understand my favorite character wasn't him but Sheik. And if we start on Zelda alter-egos, Tetra is damn awesome, too. Also, I'm the crazy kid who was busy fangirling over Leon on KH while the rest of the fandom was all over OrgXIII members (and I don't even like Squall, but Leon is cool to me); too bad he wasn't in a game I liked better.
16. Name a few series that are your favorites.
Series as in more than one videogame? Well... I think only Zelda qualifies. The other series I've played I either just played one game, or I just liked one or two games, or I'm not that much into them anymore.
17. Has a video game ever made you cry?
I... cried at Okami. Go on, laugh.
18. Has a video game character annoyed you so much that you wanted him removed from the game?
Yup, who doesn't? But the jerkiest option is when I think of Neku from TWEWY. Um. He's sort of the POINT of the game, I can't get him removed!
19. Do you "pair" or "ship" characters up with one another? (make/create/write romance involving them)
Dude, sure. I thought I was a weirdo when I was eleven and thought Ryu/Chun-Li looked good together. Or when at seventeen I was convinced Sheik had a crush on Link because he(she?) kept stalking him to help out.
20. Do you write video game fanfiction?
I want to! I've tried to write Okami fanfic, but the fandom is so small I'm not sure it's any good. And I had plotbunnies for Ace Attorney, but I don't dare to touch the fandom considering it's all gen and het.
21. Do you draw video game fanart?
I used to doodle Mario characters and Link, actually, when I was younger and Internet-less.
22. Do you come up with theories on how a character came to be/what he or she would do in a situation/why he or she is moody/etc.
I certainly do. And they give me more plotbunnies.
23. Are you a "fanboy" or "fangirl" of any character?
Aww, question is so naive it's cute! *pinches cheeks*
Boss Battles/Villains
24. Hardest Boss Battle
25. Most Frustrating Boss Battle
THAT PIRANHA FISH IN MAJORA'S MASK. I BOIL IN RAGE JUST TO THINK ABOUT IT. And I have issues with all colossi at Shadow of the Colossus. Yes, all!
26. Most Rewarding Boss Battle
Probably Yami in Okami and Majora's Mask itself. But the former was also sad.
27. Funniest Boss Battle
Oh man, Bowser in SMW. I loved playing against him, and I loved the dorky clown helicopter. Dedede in the first Kirby game ever. I'd also say the first fight with Orochi in Okami for the lulz. The boss that rolled in the Goron temple at Majora's Mask.
28. Most Boring Boss Battle
Dunno, I get kind of bored with most RPG bosses anyway.
29. Boss Battle that dragged out for a long, long time
THAT CENTIPEDE. And Yami.
30. Boss Battle with the coolest music
Do prosecutors in Ace Attorney count? XD Because they tend to have bitching BGM when they're worked up. Edgeworth has the epic music, Godot the sexy jazz, and Klavier his rock theme.
Okay, just kidding. I really like Lechku and Nechku's from Okami.
31. Most Surprising Boss Battle
Mmmm no idea, the ones I can think of I never got to yet. You know, spoiler whore and all.
32. What's your all time favorite villain?
I guess Ganon, only for consistency. The famous, amazing villains are always in games I DON'T play.
33. What's your all time least favorite villain?
I think Sephiroth is overrated?
34. Do you ever feel sorry for the villains?
In games? Not yet, no.
35. Are there any villains that seem like they should be playing for the good guys, but aren't?
What, like Waka? *gets shot* Mmmm. I'm sure there are, but I'm not much of a gamer so I can't think of examples.
36. Most malicious villain?
Kekfa, from what I've heard.
37. Most surprising villain?
From what I've read about Tales of Symphonia... /spoiler whore
Favorites
38. What is your all-time favorite 2D Game?
Super Mario World
39. What's your favorite 3D game? (PS1/N64 generation)
OCARINA OF TIME. No questioning that. That was my favorite ever for years.
40. What's your favorite arcade game?
I only played like... car arcades. Street Fighter, I played on SNES.
41. What's your favorite next-gen game? (Gamecube/PS2/X-Box)
OKAMI. No discussion allowed again.
42. Sequels/long series: Yay or nay?
It depends of the case. Some sequels suck, some I like as much or better than the previous ones.
43. What's your favorite Online Game?
n/a
44. What's your favorite console?
SNES, N64, PS2, NDS. Those.
45.What's your favorite handheld?
Again, DS. But I miss my GBC games ;;
46. Have you ever got yourself involved in a "console war"? (arguing that a console is better than another console)
I never did, but I was a Nintendo hardcore back in the day Sega was around.
47. Have you ever defended a character/game/console you liked in an argument? Which one?
Well. Apollo Justice (game and characters) isn't the devil incarnated. Waka and Issun aren't that annoying. Okami is better than Twilight Princess. And I liked the N64 better than PS1.
48. Name a game that you like but everyone else seems to hate.
Again, Apollo Justice.
49. Name a character that you like but everyone else seems to hate.
Waka, Issun, Klavier, Apollo, Trucy, Velvet, Cornelius.
50. Name a game that you hate but everyone else seems to like.
NO, LITTLE BROTHERS. I'M NOT PLAYING YOUR FUCKING HALO 3 OR YOUR GTAs OR YOUR WARCRAFT.
51. Name a character that you hate but everyone else seems to love.
Hate is a bit strong, but in the first game Edgeworth drove me nuts. But, Neku. Also, Cloud Strife. I should just write down "pretty emo and/or antisocial bishies" and get over with, except Neku is so anorexic I fail to see how he's any pretty.
Miscellaneous
52. Have you ever stopped before you finished a game because it was too frustrating to go on?
...Um. Yup. A LOT.
53. Will you stop at NOTHING to get 100% in a video game?
I kind of... never get 100%. So that's a no.
54. Have you ever injured yourself at a video game? (Space Invader wrist and Mario Party 1 blister victims may answer yes)
Elite Beat Agents, fall of 2007. MY WRIST.
55. Has a horror/survival genre video game scared you to the point that you refused to finish the game? Did you get nightmares from said game?
We tried to start one Silent Hill but we couldn't. Then again, we were trying it during dusk and we were all pussy about playing it in the dark.
56. Have you ever thrown a controller/disc/cartridge in a fit of frustration?
Weirdly enough with my temper, no.
57. Do you need to blow/clean certain games to get them to play?
Not since NES.
58. Have you ever played a game for so long that you missed sleep over it?
I haven't, but my mom? She kept playing Banjo-Kazooie at 3:00 am. And until a year ago she was like that with Jewel Quest (lol bejeweled). Now she's more into retarded cat groups at Flickr instead.
59. Were you ever involved in the Pokemon craze?
My brothers were.
60. Last but not least: Do you picture yourself playing video games 10, 20, or 30 years from now?
I go in phases when it comes to gaming. Who knows.
