1. I just got hooked to the American comic Fables. It's amazing how this can cater to my plot AND one-shot needs at the same freaking time. I love the whole mythos, the modern take on fairytales and stories -how it brings reality without dropping fantasy altogether-, and I especially enjoy the awesomeness of secondary/minor characters. I can't count the amount of times I went "fuck yeah [insert random character here]!" It's pretty good.

2. By the way, where do people download full scans of comic books, like one does with manga? I have no idea, and the way torrents handle them (like, uploading every weekly release, I think?) looks confusing. Because from a certain point, the Spaniard scans from translated volumes finished, and the scanlations are truly HORRID. So it's time to hit the original language, but I'm not into the comics fandom and don't know where to turn.

Incidentally, Western comics are so fucking expensive here, especially Vertigo series. The hell I'm paying 11-12€ for these.

Eh, I don't know. The general one is pretty generic, and I don't dare to delurk there anyway since I'm too self-conscious about being this heathen who never played the thing. I suspect this kind of shit must be all over the yaoi comms, except I dislike all the main gay couples too much to join one of those.

See, I thought Snow was only interesting and badass when she was the... mayor deputy? When the whole soup opera with Wolf began, she became pretty generic and dull anyway.

Then again, I LOVE when the people you find "less interesting" gets the spotlight. I completely disagree with you there: if it were always about Snow White and Bigby, I'd lose interest quickly. The minor characters are what I find fun.

The thing is, I tend to only read fanfic of people I know or I've been recced. I don't like picking a random fanwork and find suckage/OOC. And well, one of the halves of this pairing is so complicated it must be SO easily to get him OOC anyway.

I used to be very fond of Fables but it started losing its appeal after while (mostly because of a tendency of the author to broadcast distasteful political view loudly...) but I really loved the early issues. How far are you into it?
