Last post for 2008

Two hours till next year now. Some quickies to make it somehow relevant.

1. It's Sir Terry Pratchett now. Awesomeness.

2. Muramasa: The Demon Blade, aka the next Vanillaware title. I... guys, I'm in fucking love. It's the lovechild of Okami and Odin Sphere. And apparently it's coming to Europe next November. Bad thing: it's for the Wii. But I have a year to decide if I buy one or not. It'll totally depend on Symphonia 2's level of suckitude (and if it actually comes to Europe).

About that, I have problems choosing a next-gen console. PS3 is out of the question. Wii has its good points, but there are no games that make me lift my bum for them. 360 might be the best choice, and Vesperia coming out next Spring tempts me, but my brothers only own fratboy action crap I refuse to borrow. If there were packs for any of these consoles with games that don't suck, I'd think about investing in one. But the Wii packs all have Wii Sports, and the 360 ones are incredibly unappealing to me.

Well, that's it. I doubt my New Year's Eve will be as good as Christmas, but I wish you all a happy new year! Wish me luck and that I don't choke on grapes.

If I were to buy a domestic console (which I won't, because I fear my already pretty non-existant life would disappear completely), I'd most definitely get a Wii - but that's because I'm a Nintendo whore and I can't even consider "betraying" them, lol.

(OMG I've ordered Chrono Trigger DS already! And I think I'm going to buy myself Professor Layton. WTF, self, WTF. I've got, like, 4 unfinished games! I blame my complete adoration for my DS :/)

I'm also a Nintendo fangirl (albeit a traitor one already because I did get a PS2 and I play my favorite game in history in it), but when I see the games out for the Wii in Europe in stores... nothing really screams "OMG MUST BUY". The good games are things that will get old fast or are only fun in multiplayer or I already bought them for another console. And the pack is absolutely lametastic: is it too hard to sell a pack with the Mario game or Super Smash Bros Brawl or, you know, something a person would like to play instead of the Sports bullshit?

But yeah, maybe if there's something new good apart from that game above, I might consider to save for a Wii. Maybe.

(Baw, I still haven't been able to get CT or Layton ;_; *has like two unfinished games just for DS*)

I honestly have nearly no idea about Wii games, so I'm just thinking here about the Nintendo factor and Zelda and Mario and the shiny controller xD

I have 12 euros to spend in Game, so I'll probably buy something next time I go to one of their shops, probably Layton. Though for some reason New Super Mario Bros is tempting me. I think it's the nostalgic factor because otherwise I suck at platforms... :/

Aww, but the only Zelda game for the Wii was also released for the Gamecube, which has a controller I can actually manage, so I own it for that one. Super Mario Galaxy looks really shiny, but I have this hate-hate relationship with 3D Mario games (sigh, the only Mario game I could ever finish was Mario World, I wish I could find the GBA port)

Ask yourself: what are you suck LESS at, platforms or math puzzles? Or... get the less expensive one or something. Mario must be cheaper right now.
