In Soviet Russia, bots block you
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT. IN THE LAST 24 HOURS I'VE HAD SEVEN BOT ACCOUNTS, ALL FROM RUSSIA, FRIENDING ME. GET AWAY FROM MY USERNAME.
Anyway. I'm doing belate memes. Here are some words for that "I'll give you 5 words I associate you with" one I've been collecting. Explanations come now:
Apollo Justice (game)
That's the fourth of the five Ace Attorney series for DS. It's my favorite one, so haters to the left. I mean, yes, I'll be the first one to tell you it's not the best game of the franchise. I'll be the first one to tell you that it's full of plotholes and some bad writing. But the characters! I'm aware they're YMMV in the fandom and many people prefer the Phoenix Era characters. And I do like (most of) them, too. But well, I find them endearing and made me love this game this much. Apollo works so hard and he's easier to relate to. Trucy is a happy ray of sunshine. Ema reminds me of myself. Klavier has me charmed. And if liking them makes me a weirdo, so be it. Plus, they gave me more forensic minigame shit that I adored in PW1.
IJ RP's
Uh, I have no clue about this, I only know my own game. I'd say the biggest plus to play in an Insanejournal game is the icon space. 100 for free, bitches. Also, it's so much easier to find a good username for your pup. The disadvantages are, you can't bring your guys to any LJ activity: open posts, dressing rooms if you're into that, dear_mun or ic_secrets silliness, memes, et cetera. And most games won't have many people, since it's not chic to play outside LJ or something.
Spain
Dunno what to say about this. I live here, I have double citizenship, my mother's side is Spaniard, but. Well, I don't consider myself Spanish nor I love the country. I barely know shit about its geography and history, six years later. I've also had bad luck and I'm living in a zone where most people aren't the friendliest. For the Hetalia-philes, I have yet to find anyone IRL who resembles him in Galicia; maybe they're too Celtic for the stereotypes (however, Himaruya got the lip-service and tl;dr part spot on) Anyway, it's weird living here.
Xing (empire)
Of course, since my favorite character in FMA is Ling Yao, and I also love Mei Chan and Lan Fan and Fu (or however you want to spell their names), I'm also really curious about their country, the Xing Empire. I always say I'm an oddball and I obssess over countries where my favorite characters and OTPs live in (other examples: Alabasta, Malkuth). So, Xing is special to me since it's where they all come from and they're doing all those crazy sacrifices for their clans' welfare. I wish we get to know more beyond LOL PSEUDOCHINA. Maybe even visit it? It would be great.
Tsundere
That trope is hit or miss to me. There are some tsundere characters I really like, but some make me want to claw my eyes out, especially in those harem moe romance series. I'm very rational in my fetishisms, I reckon: I'm not liking a tsundere because it's a tsundere, or a sparkly blond, or a megane, or a fop flirt, or a crossdressing girl; if the tsundere is unsufferable, then I'm not digging him/her.
Regardless, I always joke that *I'M* a tsundere. And I believe it's true. I'm even grumpy and slightly violent in real life, and while I can express my emotions in very flashy ways, it's really hard for me to talk about my feelings. Even on Internet, I'm not one to say 'ILU' or 'you're my BFF' to any close friend of mine. Ask around, especially to my RP mates.
Jade (Curtiss)
And speaking of tsundere! Colonel Badass is my favorite male character in the Tales series because he's fascinating. It's remarkable how batshit he was for most of his life, and while he has come a long way to be a (more or less) decent human being, he's still a really awkward man who shields on his sarcasm and smarts. And he's hilarious, he mocks everybody and gets away with it. He also has the creepy scary megane thing, but done in the way I like. It's interesting how cool and mature and insightful he is for some things, but still is immature and unable to understand some others. But like I said, he got better at it. He'll never be a nice guy, but it's not Jade if he's not an asshole. I don't know, I could make a whole lenghty post about his tsun.
Rain
Actually, not a huge fan of it. I like to listen to it, sure... as long as I'm indoors. Rain is always a bad factor whenever I've lived. In Caracas, the rain season fucks with the houses in the poor people's slums. In Coruña, it's onlike Donkey Kong all the time. So you might be wondering why it's on my usernames, then. Well, I don't know either. The word is pretty, and rain itself is pretty when I'm not getting wet and it's not killing people.
Video games/gaming
I refuse to call myself a gamer, because that would be a shame to real gamers everywhere. I like games, but I'm stupidly picky about them. I like the ones that are quirky, colorful, funny, with amusing or interesting characters. In lack of any of these, then the ones where you beat shit up. This pretty much discards most of this generation! This is why I only play so few games, and most of them are Japanese. It feels really strange that most of my main pet fandoms right now are for games.
Web design
It's been over a year since I last built a website. It was my hobby a while ago, I like to control the look and colors of webpages. HTML is a ridiculously easy language to learn although it can be hard to get it to put things the way and place you want (thanks, IE). CSS is goofy and I'm really fond of playing around with it. I'm not sure if I was any good at it. Probably doesn't matter because I missed a lot of trends and the few sites of mine that survived must look old-fashioned by now. But I want to go back one day.
(Smart) sparkly blonds
I can also like STUPID sparkly blonds, I just feel more guilty about it later (unless they're adorable like this P4 character). Ah, it's kind of a joke with friends because I have a lot of favorite characters and RP muses who are simultaneously blond and sparkly. But being sparkly and having blond hair does not make you a bimbo. It doesn't mean they can't be dorks: look at Tamaki's spazzes, but he's the second best of his class and has empathy. But sparkly characters with a brain are interesting, be them blond or not.
Fullmetal Alchemist
Incidentally, COME OUT ALREADY, it's the 9th! It's my favorite manga right now and the only one I follow even the raw. I like how the plot is really planned out and little pieces fit in. I like the cast and how they grow up with time. I like how minor characters can shine as well. I like various kinds of strong women. I like how the mangaka has a sense of humor and isn't afraid to draw goofy faces to break some ice. I like discovering the intrigues. I like how a fantasy story doesn't have to sacrifice realistic humanity; the characters feel quite alive. I love to hate cliffhangers. It's a cool ride. Now, because I'm a manga fan doesn't mean I don't hate the two anime series although I know some of you do: I liked the first one until it went batshit during the movie, and I'm behind on the second one because I prefer to watch new series instead. Stop wanking about which one is "better", fandom.
You might notice I skipped ONE COMMON WORD I got from everyone. I get tl;dr about my love of Okami, so I'll try something new in a different post for that.
