Too much awesome indeed. But sob, I'd be happier that way since the way it's now we're gonna have to deal with Jason Being Noble since he could have a girlfriend in the other camp. IDK, it would've been sweeter, IMO, if Leo, Piper and Jason had just been Misted into being best friends, not necessarily romantic entanglements there.

And yeah, I also think that it's Hera - or the gods, at least - who did the Mist thing, because it is too much coincidence otherwise.
