At least you're close to Madrid, yeah. If you have internet access, there are always job websites to check out so you know where to leave your CVs or anything. We're pretty screwed because we're in La Coruña, Galicia and it's hours from any huge-like-xbox city even in train. If our house sold well, we'd just run to a better city. I do hope things go well and you get luckier than my family.
Oh man, I imagine! I doubt it will comfort you, but being terrified is pretty normal when moving to a different country. My parents have done it twice, and it's still a horrible experience to them every time they move. Even when it's to non-crisis, non-dictatorial places, you don't know what you're getting into.
