taotrooper: It's a polar bear dancing the hula; your argument is invalid (Eriol by me)

Again, I'm the bitch

Dear ET fangirls:

Here's just another reason why that ship is not going to work, if you're still unsure about the usual ones (you know, like "they never talk to each other", "it doesn't make sense!", "it's so damn OOC", "she doesn't need a couple to be happy, unlike YOU, pathetic fool", "did you forget about Kaho?", "Tomoyo happens to like *girls*", "he's mentally over forty years older than her", "Spinel wouldn't like to be on tape every week", et cetera.)

If, for any reason, Eriol craves to date Tomoyo, there's an enormous obstacle by the name of Sonomi. Remember Sonomi Daidouji, Tomoyo's mom?

Do you really think she would let her precious daughter to smooch with a guy who:
a) is perfect in everything he does,
b) smiles a lot,
c) wears glasses,
d) looks exactly like FUJITAKA KINOMOTO?

Of course she wouldn't. She would kill him first. With an axe. A huge axe.

So consider that when you write your badfic.

Sincerely NOT yours,

Kirisame

... Um, now that think about it, that's not gonna work either. As a matter of fact, they are capable of killing Sonomi off, or doing a Romeo and Juliet cliché kind of story ("were gonna elope my luv!11".)

O___O;

Um, yes, but... I really think she would hate more "that man's clone/other half/evil twin" than "that man's son", because Touya doesn't resembles Fujitaka a lot, I believe. Not the kind of hate that deserves an axe... maybe a kitchen knife or a Swiss Army.

Crap, did this rant offend you? o_o Crap. This wasn't supposed to offend anti-ET people, and it wasn't supposed to offend intelligent people. I'm so so sorry!

God, I knew it, no matter what I say to fandom, and no matter how I'll say it, I'll be the bitch. *falls into depression*

No, I understand where you're coming from. I just wanted to point out that, yes, non-canon pairings are tricky, because you have to address these kinds of issues, instead of just throwing two people together and pretending it was always that way. Some of us do go to the trouble to make these pairings believable, but most people don't bother beyond "OMG their so cuuuute lol!!!1!" and they give the rest of us a bad name.
