Mokona
Hehehe. Well, it's been a while since I don't rant. And considering I'm too lazy to hit my Eriol essay today, this will do. Inspired by this.
Larg, the Black Mokona... It should be rather obvious by now, but there's something going on with it.
We perfectly know White Mokona has 108 special powers, but what about Black? We do know they have different abilities. Does it have more or less than its twin? And exactly, what does it do? Apart from eating and drinking, I mean. What's its purpuse?
OK, OK, we do know it's for communication. But is that it? I don't think so. This is what I think: both Mokonas were created to help the people that was going to come to the store. We all agree with that, don't we? That's what Yuuko said, right?
The point is, Black doesn't do a lot for helping the Syaoran-tachi out, does it? Maybe it wasn't created to directly help them? What if it was created to help somebody else? Someone like...
Kimihiro Watanuki, for instance.
Yeah, think about it. He also came to the store with a wish. We do know Clow and Yuuko knew about him way before he was born. It makes sense they made Black Mokona to aid him.
For instance, during the ghost stories it ate the paranormal blob. When the chocolate cake was stolen by the spirit girl on Valentine's day, it rode a giant eagle for him. Every time Mokona does something useful to the XXXHOLiC plot, it's a good thing for Watanuki.
I think there'll be a day when Black Mokona will be more important for Kimihiro's plot. I wonder if there's the possibility it might be able to suck his powers like some sort of dark Kirby.
Whatever it's fated to do, will have something to do with Watanuki, that's for sure. That's my theory for today.
