The main door opened, violently, as she could hear from the divan she was lying on. The woman was expecting him since that morning. Actually, he arrived sooner than she expected.

It was the first time she had seen Clow Reed so annoyed. Actually, it was the first time she had seen him annoyed, period. She snorted at the vision of that cold glare, coming from his narrowed eyes. His smile was still there, but it was somehow shallow, even forced.

“I saw the letter in which you confessed. Please take that spell back, Yuuko.”

“Or else, what?”

He sighed, like a soft father when one of his children insulted him and he doesn’t want to punish him, even though he’s angry.

“They’re driving me mad, Yuuko. It was a very nasty practical joke.”

“Oh, but it wasn’t a practical joke, dear. Didn’t you read the whole note I left you?”

“Why?”

“You should know, Clow. It’s your bad karma coming back at you.”

He rubbed his shin with his fingers.

“Fine. What do you want? You want to obtain something from me, so go ahead and ask your price.”

“It’s not really a price, mind you. It’s what I deserve. I want three times what you stole from me.”

The man opened his eyes in shock.

“You cursed my guardians because I borrowed one of your barrels of sake?”

“I want three new barrels,” she showed him three extended fingers, “of the best brand, or they’re staying that way. I know you can afford them.”

“Oh, fine…”

**********

“There you go. Three barrels of the most expensive sake, just for you. Now break the curse, please!”

“Thank you so much, honey!” She kissed him in the cheeks, but Clow’s glare didn’t disappear. “I hope you learned your lesson about stealth and messing with the Witch of Dimension. And if you didn’t, your kids will be happy to remind you that whenever they can, I’m su---”

“Do it now. We made a deal.”

“Sure, sure!”

Yuuko closed her eyes, waved her hands, and a reddish light surrounded her. A minute after she was done, she turned to Clow, grinning.

“There you go. It’s a pleasure doing business with you.”

He sighed and turned to the door. Yuuko intercepted him before he could leave.

“Hold on. I want to know, how bad did they take it?”

“Well, Yue threw a fit and destroyed the living room and the kitchen. I had to paralyze him so he wouldn’t bring chaos upstairs. Cerberus wailed and sobbed in front of a mirror, repeating his astonishing beauty was tainted forever.”

“They’re so dull. They look so cute with pink hair and blue fur!”

“I’m certain they disagree with you. Leaving the note was a smart move, because they blamed me and not you.”

“Well, it was your fault, honey. But I still say Yue looks prettier in pink. Reddish colors fit a moon guardian better than silver. Your coloring is boring. Golden for sun, silver for moon. Pffft.”

“Yuuko, leave those experiments to whenever you create magical creatures.”

“You know, I think I will,” she said, proud. “When I have my own companions, they’ll have pink and blue hair. They’ll be so much cuter than yours and your cards. Maybe I’ll use some black and white details as well. They work so well on Mokona…”

“…Right.”

“Hey, don’t be so mad. Here, I’ll serve you some of my new sake. My treat.”

“No, thanks. I still have to rebuild the kitchen.”
