I started reading The Sandman the other day at the public library. The comics/manga section (more or less seven bookshelves in chaos) is a bit weird, so I could only see two or three Gaiman comic books. I went there to look for a book that could help me for today's pop quiz (it didn't, new prefessor is an ass) and I glanced around.

I only read the first book. It was intriguing. So I downloaded the whole series in a torrent and I'll check it this weekend. [Insert pirate song here]

Hmm, anyway. Big things in my fandoms to be concerned and squee about!

- FMA volume 12 has teh OTP on the cover! <3
- XXXHOLiC will have its own TV series. Join in my "not Bee Train!" prayers.
- We see some of Yuuko's shop nature. And that might make my "Fence" C/Y one-shot a bit on the obsolete side. Might have to add a couple of lines later.
- Silver Dragon WAS Kuro-papa's. TOLD YOU.

Everything has been said in several communities. But has anyone notice this? See Lan Fan's mask. Its colors are different. See,



My theory is that the mask Al made (I presume, the one on volume 12) had different colors than the original mask. That, or Arakawa messed up. But I doubt, with all the details in the cover, she'd forget the mask's colors. This has to be intentional.

Tsubasa: some foreshadowing of Kurogane's story on volume 7?

I was rereading Outo and saw this and remembered this. Chapitre 44. (by the way, I edited the bubble and pasted "I Hyu because I... yes"'s translation because BWYS' made nooooo sense.)

I knew I was convinced they'd die from demons unconsciously for some reason. Perhaps my mind forgot the details, but knew there was a hint.

Apart from the fact Silver Dragon was his dad's, maybe its importance also comes from the fact Kurogane executed (or will execute, but I'm sure he did already) his revenge against the demons that killed his family (maybe also his clan and/or the local villagers?) with that blade.

Mm, I noticed the mask, so I looked around a little XD The thing is the first time Arakawa actually colored the mask was on that calendar illustration (which incidentaly was released one chapter after Al remade Lan Fan's mask -- but we could say that the picture was set before it was changed, right? xP), we had no way of knowing its colours before that. Then, Al had to make a new one -- but we see that in black & white as usual.

What I've been thinking is... since Ling made a little drawing of the mask in order to have Al make a new one, he could have made the colours as he thought they were -- but which were wrong. After all, Ling's drawing was also black & white (I doubt he'll be taking out his crayons or something) and I don't think they'd be complaining about the mask's colours to Al, right? xP

Of course, it's possible Arakawa messed up -- it's not easy to maintain such an intrincate storyline with no mistakes whatsoever. If she did, I'd say that latest colours are the actual ones. But anyway, if what I said is believable, then it's a plausible explanation XD

I agree with your theory. While she might have messed up, I like the idea of either poor Ling trying to remember each zone of color and failing, or Al not doing an exact job. I doubt Lan Fan would complain about the colors after her beloved young master told her to say thanks to Al for making a new mask for her. Besides, after Ed's "masterpiece", they can't complain XDDD

There are times when I wish Tsubasa was as graphic as Fullmetal. How cool would it be to actually see Kuro's folks and village eaten alive by demons?.... er..... um... I mean... traumatic. Yeah.

It's been a long time since I read that chapter. It should be out here next week or so though, Del Rey volume 7 comes out the end of this month.

I think the most graphical scene we got was Ashura and Yasha "dying together". And that's not so much; it's not like it was like RG Veda or X.

Ooh, the FMA cover is so intriguing. Blood, swords, and guns (Winry with a gun, no less) are always a good combo.

Tsubasa is odd, because some arcs are better than others. I agree that the first part you read is awful and fanfiction-y, and the two main characters are so annoying. The arc these images are from is one of the good ones.

Alas, Winry didn't use the gun. However, FMA manga version gets better by the minute ^^
