Ask me a question about anything--fandom, real life, music, vegetables, etc--and I will answer you and then ask YOU a question and then the whole process could be repeated if anyone wants to keep it up. If this works, by the end we could know each other so well we're sick of each other and have to quit one another for a while.

The XXXHOLiC movie summary will come soon.

What kind of things you do to avoid stress?
ext_387179: A sea turtle swimming (Trucy / OMG)

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, almost every activity I do to relax increases the stress instead of calming it. Webdesign? stress. Icons? stress? Fanfic writing? stress. Fandom? stress. Windows' minesweeper? stress!

I guess the only things that work are reading books and manga, peeking over artbooks, listening to music. Sometimes, watching anime or movies or TV, and playing videogames, are useful as well. Sadly, I've reached such a level of computer addiction I don't those things as much as I should. Internet and the goods it provides eat my brain.

At what age did you decide to study medicine?

[identity profile] elihice.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The first time I had the idea? Four, much to the amusement of my grandfather. If we talk about what age I really choose, then I'll have to say sixteen.

Favorite thing about Venezuela?

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
People and weather. They're way, way warmer and easier to handle. People in Galicia are too idiotic and are likely to loathe you, ignore you and talk behind your back or talk to you in gallego to piss you off. If people in Venezuela don't like you, you'll definitely know in very unsubtle ways. And really, I'm so tropical I still don't understand how the fuck you feel like freezing in a sunny day, while you're standing under the sun. The temperature changes are killing me; I'm used to get around 20ºC in average all year. Summertime here? Piece of cake.

Also, we only have one fucking language, dammit.

If you could meet in flesh and bones one fandom character (as in a fictional character, not a BFN), who would it be?

[identity profile] elihice.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
I really get the temperature thing: if it's sunny, then it should be warm.

Tricky question. Most of my favorite character would be dangerous to meet (for example, Yuuko or Seishirou), or someone I wouldn't resist kicking to see if gets less retarded (half of the cast of X)... so I guess it would be someone closer to my age like Ed (FMA) or Watanuki. I could see myself talking to them.

Also, icon love!

I get a lot of icon love since I snatched that icon XDDDDD

Yikes, you always ask the questions I cannot ask. I truly don't have a favorite movie, and I can't think of a movie between the ones I like I'm more fond of over the other ones. A movie I HAVE to get on DVD ans rewatch it 2716372 times because it's that good doesn't exist. I don't even rewatch a lot. My 10-15 DVDs are all dusty, and most of the movies I really like I don't even own on video.

Actually, I've never been such a "cinéfila" anyway (don't know its translation in English; movie fan?)

Okay, the question... what's the weirdest plant/vegetal species you've seen in your life?

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hepática. No idea how it's called in English, but it's really small and really weird. It looks like a tiny vascular ("regular") plant but it's actually a kind of moss. And it looks very cool under the microscope.

Ed and Al. But I like almost everyone else, really, except for a couple of the homunculi.

Aha, a question inspired by The Solitaire Mystery. Do you collect anything?

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
I used to collect owls: dolls, toys, ornaments, whatever. I even had an owl-shaped lamp on my bedside table in Buenos Aires. It's been quite a while since I find a different looking owl that makes me want to buy it, though. (And seeing [livejournal.com profile] drachenaugen's owl-stuff collection made mine feel so tiny...) The only complete collection of something that I have are my Asterix albums.

I don't collect Jokers, but I do keep one in my wallet. :P

Do you like to do something manual, like knitting, stitching, etc?

To be honest, I want to go to my old house in Venezuela and ship my books ;_; I crave my books, I need my books, all those imported HP books in English, all those childhood books, the college books!

But if we're talking about turism, I want to go to London, Rome, Paris, Athens, a lot of European cities. And some other countries and cities where my Internet friends live, since I want to meet them in person.

Favorite Ghibli movie?

[identity profile] eotheod.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 09:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ouch, that's just mean... I want to say Spirited Away or Mononoke, but then I think about Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service, which I grew up on, and then there is Whisper of the Heart which gets me every time (because no matter how I try to fight it, I can be such a hopeless romantic at times)... Nausicaa is really good too.. GAH!
Since you made me try to pick favorites...

If you could be a fictional character, which one would it be?
ext_387179: A sea turtle swimming (Touya / Freedom fighter)

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Let me think.

In females, Yuuko, because she's so pretty, powerful, is not really a Sue even with those traits, and can get away with almost anything and was sexed up by Clow. In males, High Priest!Yukito, because he rocks, is smart and cute, and has a cool staff and is sexed up by King!Touya.

*reads her answer*

...

Now that's lovely. Stupid Clow derivatives being so hot, and stupid people I ship them with being awesome.

Comedy, drama or tragedy?

Cars. Planes are fun when you can watch movies, but I'm always afraid of plane crashes and turbulence.

Now, inspired by your icon--What is the first Disney movie you remember seeing?
ext_387179: A sea turtle swimming (Default)

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
No, see, the first Disney movie I acknownledge in my existence was Snow White, because my mom had decorated my bedroom's wall with a hugeass poster of it when I was a baby.

I know I must've seen a couple before, but my earliest vivid one was The Little Mermaid. I wasn't that small, though. Like 8, I think.

What do you want to do now you graduated? Maybe you've already told in your journal, but I could've missed it.

[identity profile] ghostly-watcher.livejournal.com 2006-02-28 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I think those were some of my first movies too. I definitely remember seeing Snow White when I was five, like Aladdin and the Little Mermaid, but I can't remember which one I saw first. Maybe it was Alice in Wonderland?

Mostly what I'm doing now is working at a pizzeria to earn some money. In May I plan to take some courses at the community college and pick up some credits. Next year I'm going to go study in Israel, and the year after I'm coming back to America to begin college.
