Well, before that spawn of TRC!Syaoran ever existed, there was this scene in the CCS anime in which Fujitaka goes to primary school in order to have a exposition about ancient Egypt. And then, while I'm certain more than half the school was snoring, Syaoran was all fanboying both Egypt AND Fujitaka, to the point of giving him a standing ovation when he was done.
The funniest part is when he starts talking at that awesome college professor afterwards about the pyramids and shit, all gooey over archaeology, and then Fujitaka greets Sakura. Syaoran goes WTF, and she explains he's her father. And then Syaoran has a fit, perhaps because his rival in the Clow cards ALSO has teh bestest dad evah!!11! D<
Granted, they weren't my favorites on CCS anyway, but I find them in CCS version way better in comparison. Actually, I just read the manga for Kurogane and Fye.
However, I like TRC!Clow!Yukito better than CCS!Yukito. Go figure.
Uh... because I do? I don't know, I find them boring and borderline Mary Sue. OHNOES! Someone in the fandom doesn't like Sakura-hime and Syaoran-kun! The horror!
