Drabbles (Furuba batch)
I figured I'd do it per fandoms. First the Fruits Basket ones.
For
zauberer_sirin, Hatori and Mayuko.
Summertime on winter
Hatori glanced at the snowflakes dancing outside through the window. His thoughts were interrupted by Mayuko, who brought him a cup of coffee.
They didn’t say anything during some seconds. He sipped the hot beverage.
“Mayuko… what happens when the snow melts?”
“Spring is here,” she sighed with exasperation. “Kana asked me that during our freshman year at college, you know.”
“I’m not demanding the right answer,” he told her. “Imagine there’s no right or wrong answer. What would you say? Be honest.”
“Streets get wet and slippery, and that’s annoying!”
They chuckled for a minute. Then she got closer to his face and glared.
“What about you, Mr. Existencialist?”
“It doesn’t matter about winter and spring that much anymore. I live in summertime now.”
Before she could raise an eyebrow, he kissed her.
For
rikuroxmysox, Hatsuharu.
Cow skin
When he was little, Haru used to see the world in two colors. It was either black or white. Nothing in between. He could never behave in a gray palette. Just two states on the mood ring of his soul.
Then he made some discoveries. The rat was kind and insecure. The cat was extremely human beneath his supposed monstrosity. The rabbit was hiding his sadness behind a smile. And the horse… never mind her toughness, since her heart was beautiful.
In the end, nobody’s entirely black or white. Like the skin of the cows, we had spots of the opposite color; some bigger than others.
Hatsuharu had yet to figure out if he was a white cow with black spots, or a black cow with white spots. He hoped he was the former.

I AM SO SORRY! I hope you don't mind that I practically stalked your journal (for all of a day, but still), and um, I'm sorry? It was really good though, and you made me very happy!
