I might as well compile the list of series (non-manga) I'm following. Because I have nothing better to do.

New anime

• XXXHOLiC TV
  I have to, okay? I run a fansite. (my rating: 7 for WTF with the plot order and sugarcoating; might increase or decrease depending on the next two episodes)
  
• Ouran High School Host Club
  Ah, the delicious crack! And Tamaki ♥ (my rating: 10 so far)
  
• The melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
  The cult series this season. Sure, it has its good moments, but I find it overrated. Watching it because I fell for Kyon. (my rating: 8)
  
• Mushishi
  Downloaded it from csakuras the other day, and I liked a lot what I saw. It has a nice mystery aura and it's so artistic. (my rating: too early to tell with two episodes; I think it'll be 9 or 10 if it's always this good)
  
• Saiunkoku Monogatari
  ...I still don't know why the fuck I'm watching this. Me thinks it's the pretty outfit design and the bishounen. At least the main girl is actually smart, even though she didn't look like it. (my rating: too early to tell with two episodes; expectations aren't high, might drop if it gets too corny)

Animation

• Avatar: the Last Airbender
  When Nickelodeon producers watch too much fantasy Asian flicks and shounen anime, this happens. The characters are more awesome than a lot of the shounen stereotypes. Comedy, drama, action, all balanced. Behold an American anime-like cartoon with a good plot! (my rating: 9)

TV shows

• House, MD
  I watch it because I love House's sarcasm and grudges. My family thinks I watch it because Chase is hot. WTF family? Thank you for the credit. I don't even like Chase that much.

ROFL, for me the only hot characters might be House (because of his eyes) and Cuddy. Chase and Cameron have pretty faces, but I'm indifferent towards their characters. I'm not attracted to Foreman, but I really like his personality.

A mí Wilson nunca me ha atraído ni física ni mentalmente ni nada O.o Es extraño. Cierto que sólo he visto lo que va en Cuatro, pero por ahora es el personaje que encuentro más meh después de Stacey.

Yo a los hospitales no les temo, pero no soporto la sangre y las tripas. De hecho, por más de mentiras que sea, nunca he podido aguantar ninguna serie de médicos y/o forenses en la vida antes de House, quizás excepto Scrubs o algo. Por eso yo sigo diciendo que House lo veo por el sarcasmo y porque revolotea más en torno a los personajes y casos que las entrañas. De hecho, cuando empiezan a sacar operaciones o jeringas o scanneo de órganos en vivo, instintivamente volteo la cabeza.

Anime-
I was warned away from Holic. I have seen the reviews, so I didn't even watch episode one. Host Club is awesome though. It transitioned from manga to anime very well. I'm not one who usually enjoys the "wacky" shows, but even I like this.
TV-
House is a great show. I miss it every week because of work, but if I'm lucky someone at home tapes it for me. Chase isn't that interesting really. I'm totally in it just for House and his grumpiness.

I have YET to see a Japanese fansite with GOOD Yuuko fanart. It doesn't exist. Most of the talented fanartists focus on OOC Watanuki and/or Doumeki, and only the bad oekaki artists draw her (and it's mostly a blob with long black hair and a kimono)

Compared to the average Yuuko fanart, this is rather nice. I never said it was gorgeous, just cute and fuzzy ;P

About the XXXHOLiC anime, I think it depends on the episode and what part of the series you fangirl the most. People who's in because of the TRC crossovers are not going to like it because there's none. People who's in because of the crudeness will find censure (like how the lying woman didn't die). People who fangirls Yuuko too much will be depressed because she doesn't quite feel like her manga self (the teens are fine, though; Watanuki is so well-acted by his seiyuu). People who's into the Mokona Modoki metacanon and/or Clow/Yuuko will wonder WTF that black creature is and what it did to poor Larg.

But if you're not so demanding, it's fine. It's still better done than Tsubasa Chronicle, although some episodes are worst done than others. Personally, I think it could've been worse, and while I keep complaining I've seen people being more virulent than me on criticisms. I think it's the saga (dis)order and ending differences what gets me the most, because Watanuki and Doumeki won't evolve as characters in a logical way.

On House, that's exactly my case XD I guess my family thinks I'm too shallow to believe me.

Hmms. Maybe I am reluctant to watch the anime because I read all of your reviews. I liked the manga for what it was. I can't think of anything I liked the best, so them changing so many things just seems like a huge turn-off.

Saiunkoku Monogatori! I am really enjoying this so far - it seems like it's shaping up as a political fantasy which is one of my favourite genres, and which doesn't get nearly enough attention. Apparently it's based on an award winning novel, so hopefully the quality will be fairly good. And yes, very much agree with you on the girl being smart. Wise old mentor picks a girl to shape up a problem emperor and it's actually a wise choice? With logic behind it? A teacher to teach an Emperor - why has no one ever thought of that one before? (My enjoyment level is in no way effected by the large quantity of bishounen and pretty period clothes, nope, not at all!)

Mushishi is just beautiful. It's like watching poetry.

House is hot! And I am as disturbed over this fact as all other brits... But he and Wilson and their twelve year old pig tail pulling antics make the show for me. Along with the medical mysteries that are slowly turning me into a hypochodriac. My big toe is itching? OMG I'm going to spout pustules and die!

I've only watched what it's been subbed, and it does have potential if it doesn't entirely focus on love triangles/polygons from now on. From Shuurei (was that her name? curse on the characters' names sounding all the same)'s character design (thankfully, I never followed Fushigi Yuugi...), it looked like she was a cliche shoujo heroine. So it was a nice surprise when she saw right through the emperor's clumsy white lie and pulled that reality check plan on him so he'd be useful (and yet he didn't seem to see through her, so he really IS a baka emperor!)

I'm waiting on more episodes to make a solid opinion out of it. I hope the political intrigues and possibly characters' backgrounds have a nice weight in the mix. That way, I won't regret it and it might be more than the "guilty pleasure" in this list.

Hahaha, I'm turning into a hypochondriac as well XD I'm having back problems, and during my peak pain point, I was SO fucking scared because my back ached and my limbs were feeling weird while I laid in bed at night. Chase? pero si es un niñato feo, creido e idiota! Mejor House por su caracter, Wilson sencillamente por estar realmente bueno y Foreman por que tiene un no se que que lo hace mucho mas sexy que Cahse. Chase es el unico que me sobra, solo esta ahi para que House le torture, me encanta cuando le hace bromas 'slash', como cuando lo mando a él a la prision por ser mas 'mono' XDDDDD

Curiosamente, mencionaba arriba que soy la única persona que conozco que no le gusta Wilson ni física ni mentalmente O.o Yo creo que el único personaje que me estorba algo es Stacey, porque las guionistas la dejaron ahí de nueva abogada del hospital para que alborote el avispero o algo. Para mí, que la hubiesen dejado ir después de que a su marido le diesen el alta. Aunque admito que lo de la rata Steve McQueen me gustó mucho porque House fue tan dork XDDDD

Tengo que ver de una maldita vez Ouran... las recomendaciones por parte de ¿todo el mundo internetero? ^^u parecen ser masivas, demasiado para ignorarlas. Hay que limpiar el disco duro y hacer sitio, ya no me puedo escaquear -__- Monster me da mucha pereza verla, por la estúpida razón de que me he leído el manga y... la veo demasiado larga. ¿Aún así, me animarías a hacerlo? Vi uno o dos episodios en unas proyecciones de mi universidad en las que colaboré, ahora que me acuerdo, y me dejó algo indiferente (aunque no es que esté mal como adaptación, pero como siempre pienso en el trasvase de TRC > TC, ante eso cualquier cosa es una adaptación magnífica XD).

House es increíble, hacía tantísimo tiempo que no me enganchaba a ninguna serie "normal" (como diría mi familia) y la seguía religiosamente... supongo que desde Lost, que le perdí la pista tras la primera temporada porque lo que escuché de la segunda hizo que perdiera interés. Y Chase, ps, no sé, no me parece nada especial. Es guapito de cara y tampoco es que sea argumentalmente plano, pero me da igual ^^u A House lo adoro, y ojalá él y Cuddy hicieran "algo", porque es la única adecuada para él. Me gustaba Cameron al principio (qué vas a esperar de alguien a quien le gustan Kotori y Sakura XD), pero se volvió excesivamente tonta para mi gusto. A Foreman lo veo como a un House2, aunque suene simplista, y Wilson me encanta (el otro día lo vi super jovencito en "Mucho ruido y pocas nueces" de Kenneth Brannagh, creo que fue O_o).

No sé, puede resultar pesado volver a "soportar" Monster. Yo lo quiero hacer porque ya se me han olvidado muchos detalles, y me da pereza leer el manga de nuevo. Mejor usar ese tiempo en conseguir lo que me queda de 20th Century Boys.

Es que a mí Chase no me gusta como personaje, fue estupidez de mi familia -___- Será que recuerdan muy bien cuando veía series de TV a los 15 por los "tíos buenos", y son incapaces de creer que ahora mi prioridad es la trama. Yo también shippeo House/Cuddy XD Aunque creo que el único personaje que me gusta completamente es House, lo cual resulta bastante deprimente, considerando cómo es él. Con lo poco que he visto, no me molestaría si Stacey se da un paseo a El Carajo (población: 3 billones)

Extrañamente, es el único personaje que me gusta al 100%. Haruhi es muy fiera indomable para mí (y eso que me gustan los personajes con carácter, lol), Yuki es muy "Rei Ayanami", Mikuru es muy... llorona, e Itsuki (creo que era su nombre, ya no me acuerdo) es muy "uf, estoy bueno~"

Pero los sarcasmos mentales de Kyon me matan XD
