Psycho killer sounds like Eriol, scary ;_;
Yes. Fugu TV is back from the dead, and they have Monster episode 4 up already. Of course I knew already Nozomu Sasaki was Johan. I said it gazillion times through the journal and IM. Heck, I was watching the anime to have my brain killed by his voice. I was expecting to hear him voicing Johan and dispair.
But see. I was expecting deep!Sasaki voice. Not highpitch!Sasaki voice! That hurt. Ouch. OUCH.
Of course, from an outsider's point of view, his highpitch tone makes him hella more creepy. I can understand that. But! But! I keep hearing schoolboy Eriol!
Because really, it's all in function of Eriol, because that's the first gig I ever heard of him. So, Sasaki uses highpitch, childlike voice when Eriol is in front of normal people or in normal situations. And he uses deep, adult voice when Eriol is with his guardians, and/or doing magic, and/or being -creepy- in general. That's his "Clow voice". That's the creepy tone I associate with this actor.
It's like, imagine Eriol in a schoolplay talking about killing people. That's what you get.
So JOHAN. With CHILD!ERIOL voice. Mind boggles and I'm about to soil my underwear from the creepy.
Overall, anime really makes the story creepier than manga. Must be the darkness of the animation, and the music. And of course, the fucking Johan voice confusing my head.
