Monthly withdrawal
It's the Hagaren time of the month, to start refreshing the torrent pages. *angsts*
And, in a completely different note, Watanuki gets more adorable in every chapter <3 You know, the Tokyo Babylon/XXXHOLiC comparisons are our daily bread, but really. Subaru Sumeragi? You can keep him, really. Give me the four-eyed any day. Call me a heretic but for me is more true in every installment.
Kimihiro > Subaru
(Except in angst quota.Yet. And no, CLAMP, don't go and fix that!)
Did he just say he's glad he met Yuuko? Awww. You know, he IS getting smarter. He notices Himawari's weirdness, he quotes the hitsuzen line like a pro, he acknowledges the importance of things. It's starting to sink in, isn't it? That no matter how much shit he's gotten because of Yuuko, it's still good for him and makes him learn his lessons. Or maybe he's growing fond of Yuuko-tachi, deeeeeeeep down. Very deep down. Like, basement parking lot level down.

Tokyo Babylon is interesting and heart-breaking. Some stories are so weird and crude. It's like HOLiC's dark older brother. I know it gets sold as a very gay manga and all, but the small plots are awesome. Then again, I'm not sure if it would be worth it for you.

TB!Subaru had nothing to do with X!Subaru until the epilogue, though. He was your average shy and innocent boy who cared to much about everybody else. I like Watanuki more than him because he has a spine and a strong personality, although they only share the fact they're a) good with animals/children/things that look like animals, and b) they'd rather sacrifice themselves or get themselves hurt for somebody else's sake, even if it's a stranger. Unlike Kimihiro, Subaru never really acted his age in TB: he was mentally younger, but so polite he even looked too adult. It was a weird combination. I thought he was cute in the older days, but he doesn't hold a candle besides Watanuki.

I'll go change the tags.
