Damn, CSS
Randomly, and since everyone and their dog seemed to be doing layouts/templates for S2, I decided I was going to play today with Flexible Squares CSS. At least it could work as a practice in stylesheets.
So, based in this and that, I kicked around the style, trying to come up with something remotely looking like a layout.
I got this. The basic one, with no headers or userpics. I like how it looks like without the userpics, because they're hard to modify and make them look any good.
What a headache, when I noticed that by selecting "disable userpics" I'd also disable them in the flist. And I hate that, because I love seeing people's icons when they post.
Pft.
Well, with header and userpics enabled, I came up with this:
amewarashi.
I might try to push the entry text below the icon's level, to see how it looks like. Hmmmm.

You know, some people share their CSS publicly so others can use it as layouts ^^ If you don't want to break your head, you can get one somewhere (or I can give you mine when I perfection it) so you'd only have to edit it a bit to have a header and a background.

But you'd have to write on the code stuff like HERE GOES THE HEADER or HERE IS THE COLOR OF THE LINKS BAR, you know? So it might be a bother for you =\
But I can try to make something out of it, sure ^^
I prefer to have your code because I know you and I can ask any kind of doubt I can possibly have ^^
But don't worry about me, I just changed my layout so it'll be a while before I start thinking on the new one ^^
Thank you anyway !

I was planning to share the CSS when it's less buggy, so don't worry ^^
Meanwhile, as I wouldn't trust on anyone to have this layout until it doesn't look better, you could try to check guru people who does share templates in a regular basis. I remember

I gave a look at the last one and I got the code ! I shall try to make my own out of it now ^_^
Now, there's only one thing I did not get: She said you have to save it on a txt and upload it to your server. But where exactly do I make the link to the file?
it's amewarashi, logged from testing journal
Okay. You go to Manage > Customize. Then you choose the style the layout is made for (under Look and Feel). Then go to Custom Options, and there's gotta be a section for Custom CSS or something named similar. You have to disable "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" first. Then it depends. Then, if it has a big box to copy-paste stylesheets, then I turn all the options to "No" and paste my CSS there. If you don't have a box for that, then enable "Use external stylesheets" and put the URL of the file in the text entry below.
