Thoughts on today's TRC: Dayum, that's a lot of water! And that world's Arashi is a yumemi? WTH!
Just updated Sorcerer of Dark, my Eriol shrine! ^____^
So far, the only change is in the info section. But it's a huge change. The "general" subcategory was almost completely rewritten (I took some paragraphs from my idol reflection manifesto). I'll rewrite the other people's profiles, and make sections to rant about every Eriol scene from every volume of the manga. I'll probably do that with the anime later, but I don't know.
I'd normally post this in my web journal, but I know some of you would like to read my silly rants on Erioland me smacking down the rabid Kaho-bashers, too. So there it is. The Personality and Misconceptions sections are borderline tl;dr. But I felt like ranting on my favorite CCS character, so there!

There is no tl;dr when it comes to Clow derivates! There's not much I can say about your thoughts that you don't know already, heh. But I have to say that I love your "the characters forgave him, why can't you?" line, because that was pretty much my line of thought for my Clow idol_reflection essay. "Even Touya forgave him!" XD

However, I haven't seen that much of Clow-bashing -I mean, by fandom; we all know Fei Wang's thoughts. There has to be advantages in admiring a dead character. While the Eriol-bashing is rare, it really pisses me off when I see it. And most of the time it's by either unreasonable fanboys and/or people whose ships clash with E/K or E/T. But it's still not as strong as the Kaho-bashing or the Yukito-bashing.
I really liked how, after Eriol explained himself, Li treated him all respectful XD Either he understood he's his elder, or he also noticed with Tomoyo how he was drooling over Kaho so he wasn't a threat to him anymore.

I'm glad, too. Because Anne Rice took some things from folklore, but she also made up some of her own, and for a while it looked like they were going to use her stuff. o.O
It's true that Clow-bashing isn't as bad as Eriol-bashing, but sadly it's there. I've seen it in fics that aren't even about him, but he's mentioned as a plot device... and just those few lines of flashback/exposition make him look evil, stupid, or both. *sporks*

I think it's a bit of both. I love it when he asks what couldn't he predict and then he's all "OMG I just questioned the great Clow Reed!!11!!! Poor baby...
