5 things meme, part II

5 things that make Seishirou cry

  1. Being called Seichirou or Seiichirou. He doesn't even know who Aoki is, but he's damn sure he's not him!

  2. Seeing people use average fertilizer on their trees. What's the fun in that? And it smells like shit, literally.

  3. Sakura petals getting in his working eye. There's a reason he wears sunglasses.

  4. Running out of cigarrettes and Subaru isn't sharing his. Meaniehead.

  5. Mom was right.

5 ways Kurogane makes Fye shut up
(not that all of them work out all the time, but he tries)

  1. Blackmailing Fye by assuring him he'll tell certain stuff to the meatbun and Sakura if he doesn't close it stat.

  2. Blunt pressure at the back of his neck. What? He's ninja.

  3. "STAY STILL SO I CAN BREAK YOUR HEAD!!!1one! *runs*" <- This one? Never works.

  4. Putting something sharp next to his eye. It always works. For some reason, he freaks out.

  5. Putting food in his mouth as a gag. Not booze: that makes him talk -and meow- further.

5 ways Doumeki could piss off Watanuki

  1. Existing. When Watanuki is in a special kind of bad mood, he doesn't even have to do anything.

  2. Breathing heavily behind his neck.

  3. Coming up with new menus for the bento. Doumeki doesn't get it; he thinks that making different food every day would challenge Watanuki as a chef. He thiks that by being demanding he helps him to improve and make things less boring. And yet he complains!

  4. Talking back when they have lunch with Himawari. He means, he just want to get Watanuki's attention from his fascination with Kunogi, and yet he gets mad because he thinks he's trying to get to her. Oh well, at least it works... somehow.

  5. Calling him "Nobita" behind his back, so Kunogi and that woman Yuuko would pick up the nickname. Well, Watanuki DOES look and sometimes act like Nobita! He thought that from the first time he met him. Doumeki loved Doraemon when he was little, and Nobita was his favorite character.

[identity profile] su-chan.livejournal.com 2006-09-01 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)

Me quede en el tomo 7 u 8 creo, despues de compartir el ojo, tengo pendiente 'rellenar' el bujero, no creo que me falte mucho.... es ponerme a ello ^___________^;;

I love that one. >:)

Existing.
XDDDD It's funny because it's true!

... wait a minute, Nobita is that kid from Doraemon??? AHAHAHAHA IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! *is evil* I watched Doraemon looong ago and I didn't remember the names.

Wikipedia tells me that Nobita likes a Shizuka. Doumeki and Yuuko (and Himawari!) TOTALLY know this. Watanuki is the only idiot who doesn't get it. And I love it when CLAMP does stupid things like that.

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-09-01 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
REALLY?! XDDDDDDDDDDDDD I so didn't know that.

The only thing I know about Doraemon is that the main character is Nobita, the cat is Doraemon, and that's it.

CLAMP keep making old manga and anime references in HOLiC. The kanji Yuuko wrote in the bat (Zantetsuken) was the name of a sword in Lupin III. Then there's Cat's Eye and Casshern. And IIRC, when the Raijuu saga Mokona says something from Urusei Yatsura. The Akagi thing in the mahjong game seems to be more modern, though, but at least Satsuki digs that series.

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2006-09-01 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, sometimes HOLiC gives me a certain "there's a reference here and I don't get it..." feeling. It must be even more fun for someone who knows about oldish manga/anime.

But at least I get enough of it to know that Yuuko is a geek, and that alone is so much love.

I normally don't get them, either, but when someone points it out (being Yuuko or a fan) I tend to mentally take note and google things afterwards. I want to make a section on K.net for all that stuff and other pop culture references.

LMAO

omg and the doumeki ones were hilarious.
