Active, very active

I arranged the contents of three boxes this morning. It was a good thing I filled my bedroom a bit, since mom and my brothers crashed at our apartment on the afternoon and she didn't seem disgusted by it. Or at least she didn't say it, and she's not the kind of person who keeps it quiet, so I guess she sort of approved.

I think my brothers liked We Love Katamari, even though they were freaked out by the graphics and the opening sequence. I don't blame them, man. It's on acid or something.

By the way, I never watched Saint Seiya when I was a kid. Which is odd in a Latinamerican anime fan, actually, but it's the truth. I watched some of it yesterday and today on cable, and laughed my ass out at the cheesy effects and character design and about everything. I'm enjoying it because I'm mocking.

Ikki: But why didn't that attack work on you/did your friends' weapons come to you/did the golden armor defend you?!
Seiya: Dunno.
Me: "Because I'm the main character, duh!"

You Are a White Flower

A white flower tends to represent purity, simple beauty, and modesty.
At times, you are dignified like a magnolia.
And at other times, you represent great ecstasy, like a white orchid.
And more than you wish, you're a little boastful, like a white hydrangea.

I don't agree and... white magnolias?! T_T

Your Ideal Pet is a Cat

You're both aloof, introverted, and moody.
And your friends secretly wish that you were declawed!

Saint Seiya is the main reason why I wouldn't give any anime/manga a chance for years. Sure, now I know I was prejudiced... but it wasn't the best introduction to it, really.

I hated what they did to my beloved Grrek (and later Norse) myths. ;_;

I didn't watch it when I was ten because I wasn't into shounen anime at the time, and the fights looked retarded (which is weird, considering I grew up with Thundercats, He-man and She-ra, and the Ninja Turtles, but I was at a not-boys-stuff!-phase at that time). I gave it a chance when I was 19 or 20 since all my college friends had watched it all, and just the five first episodes bored me to death -and mind you, at that point they hadn't even introduced any mythology rape yet.

I don't know, I liked to mock the cheese. It's like a train-wreck syndrome telling me I should point and laugh. And hell, I was cackling at it so hard.

Everyone and their mothers watched Saint Seiya as kids in Spain too xD I was more of a Dragon Ball/Captain Tsubasa/other stuff girl.

They're airing Captain Tsubasa re-runs right now and all I can think while watching it is: HOW IS IT I DIDN'T KILL MYSELF WATCHING THIS WHEN I WAS LITTLE?

That's what I told myself when I rewatched Candy Candy years later. Jesus Christ in a pogo stick, what a soap opera...

I think Venezuela had more or less the same anime trends in the early 90s than Spain. Except, I think, Ranma 1/2. We never got that one D:

Yo tampoco llegué a ver nunca Saint Seya. Me crié con Dragon Ball, bajo la desaprovación de mi madre.
