The real Sue
In the last couple of days, I've commented at least twice in different places how I feel The Void/Nothing is a canon Mary Sue, and probably the only character in CCS fandom who looks to me like it was taken from the Pit of Voles. She gets canon characters OOC (particularly, Eriol and Clow, because the latter so wouldn't make a deus ex machina card and hide it under his house, and the former so wouldn't forget about it being there after living for months in said house), she pushes romance for the main pairing of the story (hell, she's a plot device for that), she doesn't fit in with the rest of the canon characters of her kind (aka the Cards) until the end, she has speshul pawaas which pwn every other character, she angsts like whoa because she has no friends and nobody loves her, she's forgiven even though she made Sakura's life a living hell and bahleeted half the town, she gets converted into a corny concept card, she's zomg cute...
I mean, just add Evanescence and it'll look like she was created by a fanpoodle instead of Japanese screenwriters. I want to meet one sane CCS fan who would read a fic at FF.net with the movie premise if the movie never existed and the anime series had a different ending (or just the TV one). People just like her because she's canon and ZOMG so lonely woe. If this was a fan character, only fanbrats would be fond of that. Or not? Does any of you like The Void besides being a S+S plot device? Personally, now that I think over the movie again, she just screams "whiny, revengeful attention whore" to me instead of "leik omg kawaii" or "whoa kickass". But that's just my second impression. The first one was "meh" and "WTF" afterwards, if you want to know.
Oh, and out of curiosity, I ran a Litmus test on The Void like it was a fic OC. I got 124. True, the whole cast of CCS is rather speshul, but that's a hell of a score.

readjust like a fanfic (except now with ten times more fluff than the series!). A "new" card that no one noticed before, the play, practically every drawn out S+S scenes (dinner, amusement park, play, even the battle)... =3= The only thing I wondered about in the end was doesn't Yukito already know about Kero? So why freeze up and play doll at the end when they both woke up?no subject

Sometimes I wonder if I would like the second movie more if I hadn't read the manga first. It was cute, but it didn't make a lot of sense...

No hubo suficiente Touyuki! Razón #2, #3 y #4 para gustarme más la primera peli. Dos palabras: trajes chinos.
