Heh, I cleaned up my icons and uploaded new ones.

ayasugi_san wrote a great rant about the Eriol-tachi. Comments go slightly offtopic, though.

The ship meme I made recently has another version. So let's complement it. Comment here with a fandom and I'll give you the platonic interactions I like. (The shipping part of the meme is still on, if you want to ask.)

There are so many! :O

Let me see. Ed and Al must be the cutest brother relationship I've seen in a fandom. They keep thinking about the others' welfare, but they still remain their own person. They're really warming.

I like the way the Rockbells treat the Elric kids like their family. Pinako just think of them as her own grandsons. I like Al and Winry's friendship a lot; he might be a suit of armor, but she still treats him like someone her age, and that's good for him. Ed and Winry's friendship is also made of win, platonically speaking.

Izumi and the kids. I love the strange familiarity: she can hit them to the ground in rage, and then hugs them like a mother in the next seconds. They're as much as hers as they're Trisha's, no question.

The brother's relations with the military adults. With Roy, with Hughes, with Armstrong, with Hawkeye.

Winry's friendship with Riza and with the Hughes ladies. It's nice to see her interacting with women and little girls. I get the feeling she should be friends with Paninya now that she's always in Rush Valley, but I can't recall now. Winry needs girl friends around her age.

Roy and his boys (hah it rhymes!). He doesn't only understand their talents and the way they're useful to him, but the way they are. On the other hand, the guys can see beyond Roy's attitude and know perfectly well how their boss is. They all respect each other a lot and remain loyal, but there's also space to jokes and silliness and even friendship.

Ling and the brothers. It trascended abuse to the local citizens and went further. With Ed, like they said in HP you can't be swallowed by a fat guy and fight a 5-meter tall monster without becoming BFF! And I was surprised how many things Ling shared with Al in confidence and viceversa. It was about time they had a male friend their age.

Mei and everyone else, because she's so adorable everyone ends up liking her. Except Ed and Lan Fan, that is, but they have their reasons (XDD;) But Mei and Xiao Mei give me warm fuzzy feelings X3

Actually, let's just toss in all the Scar-tachi. They're so dysfunctionally hobos.

But let's get back to families.

Scar and his brother (you knew I'd mention them?) since they were different as day and night and they still cared for each other. Elysia and her parents, especially daddy who was so batshit. The Armstrongs; being sorta snobbish and proud doesn't mean they're not close ~~closeness is a family tradition passed down...~~ XD And obviously, Arakawa just totally sold me Lan Fan and Fu.

Oh, and Knox with everyone. His family, Roy, the Xing girls.

I keep thinking I'm missing something, but I'm reaching the char limit.

Ouran.

All the club's dynamics with Tamaki. They might think he's an idiot several times a week, but they still respect him and stand for him.

Nekozawa and Kirimi. Both are so batshit, but they make so cute siblings.

Haruhi and Ranka. I'm amazed how much she tolerates from her dad and still loves him so much and sometimes even humors him.

Tamaki and his dad. One manga scene and I was sold XD Suoh daddy is crazy.

Tamaki and his mom, because it's so bittersweet.

I like Kyouya's sister and how she pesters her younger brother. And her friendship with Tamaki, too.

Mori and Honey intrigues me. Oh, and I like the Mori's brother and Honey's brother friendship a lot. Hani-bro acts like an ass, Mori-bro comes to twack him in the head.

In the manga, for some reason I'm warming up to Haruhi's sorta-friendship with Mei the kogal. I'm not sure why. Must be the contrast.

Owner+plushie friendships count? XDDDDDD

Dammit, I forgot Tamaki and Antoinette the dog! That dog is gorgeous.

Yuuko and Watanuki, since the manga -whether the yaoi shippers like it or not- is ABOUT Watanuki meeting (written with the special kanji) Yuuko. Their relationship has grown so much it's amazing it's the same one from the first volume. It came from yelling and considering her a manipulative drunken bitch to respect her as a wise person. It's his family now, the Yuuko-tachi. He still thinks he's abused, but he doesn't complain so much. He's happy when they like the dishes, and cuts her alcohol for her health even though she whines.

And about the other way around, it's always been obvious to be Yuuko loved Watanuki as a son or a favorite nephew from the beginning. Hell, I think she loved him as a son before she met him! ~~I still theorize black Mokona was created for Watanuki's sake, dammit~~ Whenever he gets hurt, she looks after him and is so nice to him. And it's so not because she gets paid, no matter what she says. She cares so much she's probably not even allowed.

I'm the official oddball of the fandom, which means I like Doumeki and Watanuki as friends and not as future romance. Of course, canon is proving me wrong... but I still think they're good friends now, and it's great since Watanuki needs friends his age he can tell everything. I don't like the fact Doumeki overprotects him so much and rescues him every time. CLAMP should think on better deus ex machinas; Watanuki needs to solve something by himself for once to increase his self-confidence.

I like Himawari's friendship with the boys. I'm not spoiling a lot just in case, but she's had a shitty life, and it's admirable they're still there for her when people with common sense would get the fuck away from her and she knows it. And hell, what Himawari did for Watanuki surprised me in a good way. It made me respect her so much. ~~She's hardcore!~~

The Mokonas and Yuuko. So much love I can't put into words. Mommy Yuuko's babies!

Now most of the cute creature/Watanuki combination. Black Mokona and Watanuki. Kudak(g)itsune and Watanuki. Oden kitsune kid and Watanuki. Birdie thing and Watanuki. And so on.

Zashiki Warashi and the Karasu Tengu. The tengu are so overprotective of their princess. "u made her cry, ur so meeeeen!1! *smack*"

This is an anime thing, but I like the girl bonding between Zashiki and Ame Warashi.

Oh, and I almost forgot Watanuki's new friendship with Kogane-chan.

I like how Sokka and Katara complement rather well for siblings, and how they interact with Aang. I was curious to see how it was going to be for the gaang when Toph joined. It looked like it was going to be a fiasco, but I like how she worked it out with the three (five if counting the pets) of them. So yeah, I like the gaang dynamics since it's rather realistic for kids their age.

But of course, my favorite interaction is Iroh and Zuko, hands down. They both move me so much it's impossible not to love them. They make me laugh, they make me cry. So lovely.

Aang and Appa also broke my heart last episode.

harvest_song is at the icon limit, even for sponsored accounts. There's a Ruby-and-Spinel icon, so why not have a Nakuru-and-Spinel icon, too?

Thanks! I had to, after Hyatt's rant. I like it too, and it's sad how I lacked a Nakuru icon.

Okay, um. I'll try to be brief since I could be here for a long time and I have to go to bed.

You know how obsessed with the Eriol-tachi I am, so of course I'll start mentioning them. Nakuru and Spinel, Eriol and Spinel, Eriol and Nakuru.

Then there's the Clow and his creatures combo (S&L included, ñam). Kero and Yue's brotherhood. Sakura and the guardians and cards -especially Kero, but she's also cute with Yue.

The Kinomotos are such a cute family. When Yukito is tossed in it, even cuter if possible. Even better if you imagine Kero-chan as a regular member of it in postcanon.

What else... the way everyone reacts to Yamazaki's lies is made of win.

Kero and Spinel in anime, too.

Uh, lessee... I had to force my brain because X is not precisely the manga with the best platonic relationships evah in my opinion. I mean, it has them, but no better than CCS or HOLiC/TRC. And of course, in comparison they're almost ridiculous besides FMA and One Piece ^^u

I like the friendship developed between Kamui, Sorata, Yuzuriha, and Arashi when they lived together in campus. I've always liked the way Sorata teased Kamui even when he was the pissed!off!annoyed!teenager. Actually it was even funnier, but I'm glad Kamui appreciates Sora-chan now. Yuzuriha being genki around them and pushing cookies to their mouths. I like how Yuzuriha and Arashi became BFF, and how she noticed Arashi's reactions to Sorata before anyone. Oh, and of course Yuzuriha and Inuki.

I also liked Karen and Nataku since it's so sad ;____; Poor Nataku.
