1. Probably my first love, you drove me crazy during my preteen years, even though you're older than me. If the Internet existed as we know it when I was younger, things would've been so different. Actually, one of the first pages I visited when I was 15 and had a primitive Internet for 6 months, was yourname.com. I'm probably not as hardcore as most of your followers, and I don't know much of silly trivia and meta, and I know I'll never touch a part of your canon made by your other fans as it's teh lamexxors, but I still respect and cherish the part of you I met in the older days. You were cheesy, yes, but you were fun and made more sense before. As for your new parts and the recent little changes of yours... well dear, I agree they're not your best and some are borderline WTF. Also, for the record, it's not that I hate YOU. I just hate your daddy.
2. You were so special to me. You marked the moment my high school years were over; hell, I met you an hour after the graduation act was over! You were full of pseudo-philosophy and false-mythology bullshit and took yourself too seriously, but then again I also took you seriously. I don't agree you're teh bestest 4evah like some fantards, and it's true you're overrated, but I did find you great at that time. You're probably the only one in your genre I could love. I even discussed about you in mailing lists. And I learned through you -selected myths and something that changed my life: HTML. My first complete website was about you, R.I.P.
3. You didn't seem that cool at the time I met you. Our story isn't precisely love at first sight. You were kinda like booty call at first, only watching you when I was really bored and tired to do zapping, because you were pretty. But really, half of your anime bored me because it seem like the same old thing. Then you pulled several twists right in the middle, and luckily I caught you that day. And you, honey, blew my mind. In retrospective, it wasn't as brain-breaking as with some of your siblings, but I didn't know them at the time so it was the shit. I admit I still watched you, and then read you, for the pretty, but you weren't dull anymore. You probably are /my/ Internet fandom as I went through everything a fan must go in a fandom online by you. Name an expression media and I've probably been there. In some cases I'm STILL there, for crying out loud. And it's funny how some of my current homies are your closest siblings.
4. I wish I knew you better, kiddo. The times I could've met you clashed with my schedule, and that made me a sad panda. You were funny, adventurous, had an attitude, and didn't take yourself seriously. You've made me laugh so hard the few times I've seen you. But really, I'm too poor and lazy to retake you, and you're so long you intimidate me. Probably in a future I'll try to import your original canon, which is not as visual and shiny as animation is, but I've heard your books are so good...
5. You're the reason I watch anime and read manga, kid. You are. After the cheesiness of Candy Candy and other assorted shoujo anime, and the redundance of Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon, and a whole childhood of Disney, you were GODSENT. You were kind of smart but not so much and admitted so, unlike #2 who pretended to be teh intellektul. Your hints of history made me research the real deal. The way you moved and sounded was so fast and shiny I swooned. And we danced. I needed something like you in my life. Also, you introduced me to the idea that the Japaneeeeese cartoons had comic versions most of the time, and normally they're more awesome even lacking the color. Because let's face it, you started great but went downhill. And I understood something through you: the doom of fillers, the joys of J-rock and J-pop, and how bad and good OVAs are. It wasn't your fault or your daddy; what your daddy was doing while those idiots were ruining you was drop-dead gorgeous. Sad in some aspects, but very nice. Too bad your siblings are lame.
Okay, all of them are OLD fandoms. Now go rack your brains, kids. Maybe I'll do the meme again some other day, with more recent fandoms.

malísimabuena costumbre de comenzar a checar LJ y al hacerlo abro miles de pestañas en el firefox de los posts que quiero leer... ya cuando llego al post más nuevo, las veo una por una de la más vieja a la más nueva.Cuando vi tu post me puse a contestar, pero tengo la costumbre de actualizar la página antes de poner mi comentario (copiando lo que iba a comentar) y vi la primera respuesta. Pensé en no contestar porque ya alguien había puesto lo mismo que yo, pero naaaaah XD, solamente le puse lo último y ya :D.
