As for HOLiC, it is sweet and all. But you can't escape the fact that he looks like Doumeki. Also suggesting Watanuki to call him Haruka instead of just grandfather.

Uh... I've seen people being cute to kids who could be their children or grandchildren without any kind of subtext or ulterior intentions of smexing them, in both real life and fiction. Hell, I've had my friends' mothers being with me worse than Haruka. So... I don't get it? Haruka's spirit probably thinks of Watanuki as a grandson in law already. How come touching a cheek of a nice, cute kid your grandson adores = stealing grandson's boyfriend/being gay and shoutacon? I didn't see anything remotely slashy about that...

*shrugs* Sure, he looks spookily like Shizuka (to the point his grin throws me off a lot most times), and it's true you can't escape from that in a way. But now that I think about it there's a chance I wasn't shocked/disgusted/turned on because I don't ship D/W, so I failed to find that hot at all.

Yeah, I figured you would, and so do the sane shippers. However, >90% of the squeeing/bitching persons who are all "ZOMGWTFBBQ GRANDPA!!1!" I've seen are rabid shippers. It kind of reminds me of the TRC!(Sakura/C!Syaoran) shippers who whined when R!Syaoran joined the party because "she was soooo going to fall for him", except creepier because poor Haruka is older is dead-er. Dude, same face =/= same relationship!

I kind of see it as though Fujitaka would've hugged Yukito one day (which didn't happen in canon, but it's not OOC at all). It would've happened because he's like a second son and hell, they are kind of related to some extend, and not for hitting on his son's boyfriend.

Now, I believe if Fujitaka ever felt uncomfortable around one of his children's dates, it must've been Kaho (on canalizing Eriol somehow :P). However, would he ever hit on her? UNLIKELY.
