The laptop doesn't have Microshitsoft Word installed. I left the installation CD at home. I'm not downloading a new version and wasting a DVD -because I can't find an old version on torrents- on that.
OpenOffice does have a spellcheck. However, I also need a grammar check, which this program lacks. It's not like MSWord's was any good, but it did catch something.
I can't write shit in English this way. I don't trust myself alone when it comes to grammar. I really need to retake the Eriol/Kaho WIP and kill a couple of plotbunnies while my classes are still starting and I have the time (...sort of).
So forget about manifestos any time soon.
The fics, on the other hand, should be written. I need either a solution and/or a beta; otherwise I won't be able to post any fic or action entry at the RP in the next three weeks or more.
