What I have to do to learn PHP

After giving up on LAMPs, I tried to install a WAMP (which is the same crap but on Windows instead of Linux) on Soel -my laptop. I had bought a small PHP+MySQL guidebook which extra chapters about installations, and I attempted to install each component for separated, but the PHP wouldn't go. So in the end I uninstalled it all and looked for those batch installers.

This one looked good and had a high rating at Hotscripts, so I tried it. Well, I still haven't played a lot with it, but it's running fine :D And it included phpMyAdmin, which is gold. So it looks like it's all set ♥

So I'm learning this language, man. I'm hoping my faculty would let me to build a web application powered by this for my thesis (well, more than thesis it's an "end-of-career project"). I have an idea for a script I want to develop, but it might be TOO geeky for a serious software work. I'll try to do parts of my idea for learning purposes, and if I'm approved for this in two years or whenever I'm doing the thesis, I might have some reusable code XDDD At least, I'm hoping I have reusable CSS and HTML. If not, well, it's for practice. Either way, if it's not garbage in the end, I could always try to refine it and share it with webmasters... maybe.

I would recommend you this: AppServ ^^. It contains Apache, MySQL, phpMy Admin, everything you need for Web Pages Development ^^. This was the page i did for school http://www.animinx.com/ ... i still need to pimp it ^^
