Favourite story this year:
I liked, uh, "Dreaming of black wings" and "The color theory", but practically everything labeled as crack are things I like.
My best story this year:
I think that depends on the reader. I'll reply with the most liked instead. None of this year's fics were recced by anyone but Laurus, so I guess the most accepted fics were "Dolce vita", "Out of the Ordinary", and "Dreaming of black wings".
Most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
I'm still a bit bitter my CCS/HOLiC crossovers don't get as much reviews as I hoped. My English has gotten better, so it can't be that. So almost all of them would go here.
Also, other HOLiC/Sandman fics have gotten popular, so "Fishes and butterflies in the kitchen" should've had a better rap IMO.
...I guess I just should put 'all my HOLiC fics' in here or something. Most of my reviews come from CCS-only fiction.
About the Spanish fics, I wanted more people to like "Inicio".
Most fun story:
Oh man, that's hard. "Revenge tastes of sake" and "Mystery box" were so amusing to write, especially the latter. Although drabbles such as "European chocolate", "Friends call you stupid", and "Real ninja men wear pink, apparently" were cool as well.
Sexiest story:
I didn't get to write sexy stuff this year... "Dolce vita" has a kiss with tongue, though. Touya kissing with tongue is sexy enough, I think!
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
Man, my "WTFSOWRONG" stories were made last year!
You could argue "Real ninja men wear pink, apparently" is so wrong because Kurogane had to wear something with pink ribbons, but it's not shocking enough compared to the fandom, so I'm not going to put that one.
Some people think "Out of the ordinary" is plain wrong, but not everyone agrees.
So I'm saying "Fandom wife" because it has Yuuko writing Meiling/Tomoyo porn, and bribing a canon author with smex in order to get spoilers for her fandom -k, it's her husband, but still. It's wrong of her, not me. But that's the most batshit thing I wrote this year, so deal.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
Hands down, "Out of the ordinary". I had to think so hard about precanon!Kaho and reread the manga so many times.
Hardest story to do:
The ones I haven't written yet :D Dunno, OotO? I haven't started chapter 4 yet.
Biggest disappointment:
The ending of "The witch and the little onmyouji master" bugs me. Maybe it's because it was a drabble, or I ran out of ideas. Someone else could've pulled a gorgeous one-shot with the premise, I'm certain.
Biggest surprise:
I still can't believe I'm writing Eriol/Kaho.
Most telling story:
If you mean dialogue, OotO XDDDDD Some of the drabbles say a lot without much words, like the Furuba ones. "Artificial fireflies" says a lot about the awkwardness of Clow in a traditional Japanese setting. "The color theory" is filled with symbolism and mythology, and even some engineering. "Wings on her back, twice" is a theory of mine made fic so it's bound to say a lot about several characters.
A story I want remembered:
One I still haven't written D: I wished stories like "Invitation to dinner" and "The color theory" would've been remembered, but I'm pretty sure that my recognition will come from writing so much about the Eriol-tachi and Eriol/Kaho. Not a shabby idea, of course.
I want my T/Y fics in Spanish to live on, because nobody writes them in Spanish. They don't get enough attention at the Pit of Voles, though, but at least in LJ people like it a lot. It shows where the gay shippers are :D
