And now for something completely different
FUCK YOU FMA CHAPTER.
Meanwhile, I could make a quick post before studying about something that's been on my mind for some months now. A part of my personal fanon is that Eriol Hiiragizawa (in any canon) is into Monty Python. In the beginning it was a random choice, as I thought "well, he's a smart person residing in England, who has a bizarre sense of humor... of course he must like MP!" But then I got to actually WATCH Monty Python sketches and episodes and movies, because I must be one of the few roleplayers who suffer from inverse "pepper jack cheese". And suddenly, a couple of CCS scenes seemed funnier compared to some sketches.
First this scene. Yamazaki is, without a doubt, the king of randomness. And as such, he annoys his girlfriend with faux facts about penguins.

Now remember the tiny penguin drawings well, because now let's watch this clip:
And now for something regarding Eriol, the infamous sheep plush scene.

So basically, he lets a lot of plushies fall over Sakura, who's therefore trapped in a hole with these. We could say the sheep... plummeted.
Let's check the flying sheep segment.
By the way, at least the anime gave a reason for Eriol to come up with this cunning plan, but in the manga? Just randomness. And Ruby was all like "bestest idea ever y/y? XD"
To finish this moment of stupidity, picture of the artbook:

And flying sheep in a Terry Gilliam animation:

I honestly DOUBT that CLAMP got inspired by Monty Python for some of their crackalthough that might explain a lot of the Duklyon randomness. But I still reread these scenes and think about CCS. And how probably Yamazaki got for his twelfth birthday the whole collection of Flying Circus on VHS from England, to Chiharu's dismay. *kills plotbunny with a Holy Hand Grenade*

Argentinian!Ruby says: "Atacar a Sakura vestida de oveja con ovejas... muy bien pensado, Eriol". So there *is* a sort of reason (the suit)? I can't remember what happened in the anime.
Anyway, the important part. Thank you for making see this, because, yay! :D I always forgot to check out Youtube but now I had no excuse. <>Dude. These people are great.
I must say that the penguins sketch is a very accurate and realistic representation of the scientific community all over the world. XDDD
Oh, and: And how probably Yamazaki got for his twelfth birthday the whole collection of Flying Circus on VHS from England, to Chiharu's dismay.
YESSS. :D

Youtube is awesome for random Python sketches. Too bad it's hard to get full episodes on it, if they still exist. *pets the DVD box she still hasn't watched yet and shouldn't anyway*
Even with the tennis club thing? XD
It's an evil bunny D: And the day they bought it, Eriol let Nakuru choose movies for herself. One of the picks was Labyrinth. Spinel still shudders every time he hears her humming "Dance Magic Dance".

Close enough. In the place where I was doing my thesis work, my boss and the guys his age spent most of their working hours organizing their football match for the evening...
Oh man, Nakuru and Labyrinth. That would be gloriously frightening.
