taotrooper: A wizard with a T-shirt that says "actually I am a rocket wizard" (Ponder / nerdy T-shirt)

It's raining dead! Hallelujah!

Guys, forget last night's weird post about pairings in Okami. I was kind of under the influences of PMS. Still, I'm not deleting it because I'm not entirely ashamed, and the idea of a Princess Tutu/Ranma crossover (Fakir falls in the spring of the drowned duck!) is still awesome today.

In the 2627th installment of "I'm a bad, broken CLAMP fangirl", I actually cracked up at this week's chapter. Hard. I know it's tacky and some of you are kind of crying and stuff, but it's the funniest thing I've seen today.

By the way, wasn't Madhouse in the end. The OVAs will be done by P.I.G. I think that's pretty neat, with probabilities of two almost blondy Syaorans and badly-drawn crying Mokona.

And when finally my fandom wanks about shipping, it's pretty lame. Gee, XXXHOLiC fans, you so boring.

For slightly happier news: MY NINTENDO DS ARRIVED TODAY :D Of course, right now it's under custody so I won't play with it until next week. It's black. I think I'm gonna call it either Yuuko or Robin.

Any suggestions for games? I'm looking for something addictive and amusing, perhaps in the puzzle department but not necessarily, that's not too short (I find Phoenix Wright games short, sorry). It can be an RPG, I guess, as long as it's not too hard or requires a lot of leveling up. No Pokémon, though. The more inventive, the better. It can be for GBA, but I also want suggestions for DS games.

By the way, American and Japanese DS games can be used in European consoles, right? I don't think I'll import any, but it's a good thing to know.

ETA: I almost forgot, I'm kind of nervous about the LJ Animanga Iconmakers Awards at [livejournal.com profile] review's. Yup, in the end I was nom'd and barely made it to the votings. I have no chance in CLAMP but it doesn't bother me at all. However, I have such silly hopes for Best Crack, although I'll most likely get my ass kicked. It was hard to find samples that weren't too fandom-in-joke or needed a long explanation on obscure memes.

ETA2: Kobato totally is CardHOLiCverse. First the fortune-teller, now the Piffle Princess combi and the Sucky Suki Dakara Suki main characters. It's a matter of time before Watanuki gets a new neighbor with another a talking plushie, me thinks. Which would kind of seal Kobato!Chitose as his landlady. Which wouldn't be that scary if it wasn't for the human!Chii twins factor. Then again, maybe most rented apartment blocks in that world look like that?

the DS doesn't have a region system so any game works ;)

Try Ouendan 1 and 2, if you like rhythm games. Elite Beat Agents is the US version but it kinda pales in comparison with the Jpn vers... because the JPN vers is crack.

I'm not sure if I like rhythm games because I've never tried one XP I can't read Japanese so I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy a version of any game in that language... the crack wouldn't make more sense even if it was funny, would they.

Trust me you dun need to know Japanese to play Ouendan LOL There's a lot of visual crack too.

Anyway, the game is basically tapping your stylus at specific points in time with the music. (The Nodame Cantabile game uses this system too.) If you want to see how the gameplay is, try searching for ouendan or elite beat agents at Youtube. There are tonnes of vid featuring gameplay there.

Oh I remembered another game; Trauma Center. Use your stylus to be a good surgeon :D It's really good eventho I'm not playing it because I can't pass Episode 6. I suck.

I've been looking for a good Sim game too. I'm trying Anno 1771 atm.. it's pretty okay.

Trauma Center is a big hell no. I can't stand medical stuff, even if it's cartoonish and not bloody. Also, I lack a steady pulse, so it's a really bad idea.

Still, I'm not sure if it's worth it to import a game in Japanese, whether I understand it or not. I'm picky enough with games I can find down the street. Imagine paying that shipping fees and waiting so long, and then I get tired of the game the next week.

Aw your poor thing. I dun mind cartoony blood eventho I can't enter a REAL OT for the life of me.
Anyway the game is kinda challenging so you saved yourself a lot of trouble there...

there reason I'm playing ds games at abandon is because I'm playing dl roms so I should shut up.

how about Mario Kart DS? A lot of ppl have been recc it to me but I can't play racing games to save my life.

If you like puzzlers, there's Hotel Dusk Room 215... ppl have said good things about this and I'm waiting for my copy LOL
