I'm Internet-less for a day, and what happens?
Of course, CLAMP does fanservice *I* can fangirl at.
King Clow, bitches. On the cover. Hot stuff.
Because it's KING Clow. I'm getting all peeved because people are going all "OMG CLOW REED"(*), when his clothes are so painfully, obviously Clowian. Don't you see the neck pattern? And the gypsy coins? Sure, the cloak has a sun and shit, but it doesn't look like the one on the Reed robes.
Anyway, I could tell you I've been kind of absent because I've been at my mom's, and I was too lazy to comment on stuff or make posts, and how my face is a horrible zone of pain again thanks to The Right-sided Molar (which will be removed when I've taken enough antibiotics, that being several days after the Potterdammerung).
Speaking of the Potterdammerung, these two posts seem useful for the battle against spoiling jerks:
- Because you CAN prevent forest fires
- Troll protection!
Have I told you I'll maim you if ANY OF YOU posts spoilers outside LJ-cuts or in my journal? I WILL. I promise.
And this is what I did while I had no Internet:
Revamped the Spirited Away fanlisting and redid all the 50x50 codes! I particularly like the hover thing at the menu. The top image looks kind of LQ, though.
(*) And unless you subscribe to the King Clow = Clow Reed theory (**), he's not. Trufax.
(**) I dislike that theory a LOT because I believe it cheapens the plot, leaves plotholes in the other mangas Clow appears in, and every possibility for a Clow country version of a CCS adult woman as the queen of Clow becomes creepy by default (***). And I'll kick puppies (****) if CLAMP makes it canon.
(***) "My beloved queen, if We was born again, We'd fall in love with you again... And actually, guess what: We will!! :DDDD" (<- Also known as "I'd hit that... again, in my next reincarnation, yay!")
(****) Preferably, cousin Merce's Scottish terrier. He isn't a puppy, but I'd kick him.

*Still ecstatic over the cover!* I agree that it's King Clow. For the reasons you said - and King Clow had a sun and a moon thingie in one splash cover too, I think? >> Maybe?
Even if I'm just getting pics mixed up - Seishirou has an inverted pentagram in Tsubasa as well, it's not surprising that they'd give Clow a moon & sun pattern :/

Yeah, he had a Clow insignia under his feet in one splash cover. Still, a sun in his clothes proves nothing to me. If anything, it makes sense with some old Clow-country-themed plotbunnies I had once for Touya/Yukito shit (basically, I had the main deities being the Sun and the Moon Gods, the former representing and protecting the royal family, while the latter was associated with the high priest).
Yeah, that's true. I think this is like real!Syaoran and his magic. A lot of people assume he's CCS!Li because of the sword and spells, even if it clashes with canon.

Cuando vi la imagen la duda no fue "¿es King Clow o es Clow Reed?", porque como dijiste en tu post es obvio que la ropa es de Clow Country. La duda fue "¿son la misma persona o no?", porque hasta ahora nunca lo habíamos visto con un simbolismo tan al estilo CCS.
Yo creo que lo lógico es que el simbolismo se mantenga porque el alma es la misma y todo eso... pero "lo lógico" y "lo que pasa en Tsubasa" no siempre coinciden, y CLAMP me da miedo. D:

(Claro, también dejaba abierta la posibilidad en mis plotbunnies que el rey Clow hubiese sido rey y sumo sacerdote a la vez, por si el canon iba por esos tiros.) Por eso el adorno es algo que no me hizo pensar enel Clow que molaClow Reed. Entre mis ideas tontas y la ilustración yin-yang de Touya y Yukito, tiene todo el sentido del mundo atribuirle el sol a un rey de Clow.no subject

Yup, lo más probable es que esta sea la única, y por eso me estoy dedicando a disfrutar Teh Pretty más allá de que la historia me de ganas de cachetear a Ohkawa.
