And he just loves comfy bedding
1. I feel all polemic... almost:
Hah, I still haven't replied on the Evangelion comments because it's such a subjective issue I don't know what to say XD I do assure you I a) never took it as a 'religion' or teh bestest anime evah when I was eighteen, and b) am *also* liking the manga canon better. I can't argue about the Shinji thing because it's a personal preference, and I can see why he annoys a lot of people.
Also, I'm wondering if the origins of why I can't get into the wooden-faced, silent-and-devoted type of characters may lay on Rei Ayanami. But never mind about my own peeves, or why Rei rubbed me the wrong way in the old days, because that's also subjective.
Ah! And I've always wanted to watch Escaflowne, by the way. I never really considered it mecha because it's more fantasy than anything, though. Kinda like Rayearth, actually.
2. On this season's anime:
I started Denno Coil today out of curiosity. I've only watched two episodes so I can't say a lot, but so far it's been quite appealing to me. Also, screw cyberpets: I want to have a Mojo. They're like... so fluffy! With the antenna! Gah, I was squeeing every time they were on screen, even though they're kinda creepy whatever they are (don't spoil me).
I tried to check Baccano!, but I found no uploaded episodes on the stream sites I know. I'll check Mononoke when I'm up to date with Coil.
Lovely Complex is still my guilty pleasure. *facepalm* Sigh.
3. And now some Avatar shit:
There's a HQ version (not cam recorded) of the season 3 trailer. Awesome sauce. Can't wait till September! D: Also, you Earth King (or Bosco, or Sokka) fans -you know who you are- might want to check this out XDDDDD LOLarious.
4. And speaking of ANOTHER king with glasses...
Continuing with the OMGWTFBBQness of yesterday's reaction to the Tsubasa deluxe cover, I must add something.
Clow/Eriol's original sun staff has eleven points. King Clow's has nine. As I see it, either:
a) we cling to the possibility it's not the same staff, for sanity's sake! yay!
b) or Mokona forgot how many points it had ¬_¬

Honestly I just enjoyed the show and ignored all the fanbrats, like I always do. ♥
jcflndSJFckJSDNAHFD YOU HAVE TO WATCH ESCAFLOWNE. Oh god, you don't have any idea of HOW MUCH I love it. Really. It has fortune telling, amazing character development, a... uh, not so good ending but it fits the themes somewhat, fantasy, crazy villains and I love the protagonist. I will stop my fangirling here, sorry. xD
OMG SERIOUSLY? I must stalk youtube right now. *w*
I really hope it's not the same Clow, I mean, I have not read Tsubasa in months but still... :/

I actually like the ending but I know I am in the minority in that regard.

yaoiShinji, and now I'll get thoughts on Rei. Sigh.Haha, don't worry and fangirl away XD I've never watched it because I had no access to it and then forgot about it for some years. So I'll probably try to download it next week. I'm in the mood for classics this year or something XD
In Avatarspirit.net they have the trailer to download, if you want to keep the file.
Most Clow fans (or at least me and the ones I know) are also hoping that D:

The classics are good, especially Escaflowne so I hope you can watch it. ♥ XD Oh man, I just have the urge of watching it too and I don't have time right now. B-but yeah, I totally recommend it.
Thank you, I just watched it but I must have the file. *insert TONS OF SQUEALING BECAUSE OH GOD SO GOOD here*
D: Let's hope for the best.

It's such a great show my favorite of the season with Gurren Lagann.
It's also the perfect time to catch up because the show is on hiatus for a couple weeks and all the episodes are fansubbed now. And the show keeps getting better. :)
Also if you don't mind downloads the LJ communities for Baccano and Mononoke have direct downloads.
Ah! And I've always wanted to watch Escaflowne, by the way. I never really considered it mecha because it's more fantasy than anything, though. Kinda like Rayearth, actually.
I guess that's true, but it still has a mecha element. The show is even named after its mecha. But it's certainly no Gundam or Macross. I think Escaflowne is so good because it blends shounen and shoujo elements so well.

Ooh, that's good. However, I kind of wanted to watch the first episodes on stream just in case I didn't like them I wouldn't have to delete the files. It's mostly to save space.
Well, Magic Knight Rayearth was also a fantasy with mecha named after one of the "robots", and I don't think of it as a mecha series either (funny enough, it was also of the schoolgirl-goes-to-another-world kind XD). But yeah, that's what I heard about Escaflowne. I've wanted to watch it since I got seriously into anime, but when I finally had access to good Internet connection I totally forgot. I'll download it next week and check it out, really :)

As for Mononoke, see if you can find the prequel Bakeneko first. It is the last 3 episodes of Ayakashi Samurai Horror tales (but you don't have to watch the rest of Ayakashi to watch Bakeneko). You also don't have to watch Bakeneko to watch Mononoke but it is pretty good.

Yay for the HQ trailer! And that comic is so cute. ♥ Is it one of those semi-official comics that came with the DVDs or something?
Re: Clow: I think it's b but I'm clinging to a.

Well there is me. I have never seen it either. :)

No, it was on a Nickelodeon magazine and I suppose it's not canon. Still, it's made of win XD
Sigh, so do I -_-

It's adorable! And I want to glomp Sokka because he deserves it. X3 Also, watching the trailer now that I can *see* what's going on made me notice the crazy amounts of Roku in it... This is going to be flashback-land, isn't it? *crosses fingers to get lots of Roku's pretty dragon companion*

I really didn't think I would like it either and only started watching it because everyone was saying how good it was. I thought it would be another overrated fanboy series. But you know what it's not. Yes it has fanservice and it is a little silly at first but now that I am at episode 21 I can say it is one of the best shounen shows out there. It has that whole sense of comradeship, wonderful characters, it's funny but also touching, and it will have you literally cheering when the good guys are finally winning (it reminds me of One Piece in that respect).

What I wanted to say was 'The series leaves me cold', not 'It sucks!'. I haven't seen it complete so I'm not one to talk.
2. Lovely Complex is love! It's so sweeeeet and cute and fun. Well, it also helps that I'm in a situation that's like Risa but without the comfort of being a shoujo heroine. XP
And it led me to Arashi, which is my new musical guilty pleasure. So, yeah: Lovely Complex is 100% fluffy crack.
3- Damn. I still haven't been able to catch the last three episodes on Nickelodeon (they have the most bizarre broadcasting order ever).
4- So... you want King Clow NOT to be CCS!Clow/Eriol? Or I got it wrong?

Besides, I'm even shorter than Ootani O.o If I ever get a boyfriend I'll look fucking ridiculous, too.So... you want King Clow NOT to be CCS!Clow/Eriol?
Pretty much, yeah.

That's the good thing about 'realistic' love stories: everyone can relate! Besides, I'm a tall person inside.
