I still say Arakawa did it better

See, if the world loved me a bit more, the FMA chapter would be out already so I could rinse the bitter-as-medicine taste from this week's TRC.

It still isn't, of course.

So instead I finished watching Ayakashi, and now I'm almost up to date with Mononoke. I really, really liked Bakeneko+Mononoke. Why yes, I am aware I need to catch up with other series instead of watching new ones, but guys: Horror, the style I'm into. Short-length. Quirky. Confusing. Creepy. Art so original it's either pretty or painful to look at, and I can't quite decide which one is it. Episodic. Mysterious main character.

Sure, the Medicine Seller lacks the charisma and dorkitude people like, say, Ginko and Yuuko have. But dammit, he's hot in his bizarreness and WTF-is-he-again?-ness. No, I don't get why I think that way either. Still, the show made me forget the TRC crap so it did its job quite well.

Here's what I got.

3. Desktop Publisher
4. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator
5. Computer Programmer
6. Animator
7. Video Game Developer
8. Computer Animator
9. Website Designer

My dream job is 9, incidentally. But the first option sounds cool! Too artistic for my talents, but there's also place for programmers so maybe it could do it for me.

No I totally see how you think Medicine Seller is Hot his voice plays a big part because when I watched Bakeneko dubbed he didn't have the same charm

I am glad you are watching the show. It's definitely different from your average anime but that's what I really like about Mononoke. :)

Definitely the voice helps loads. Which is strange, because I've only found Sakurai sexy in a couple of roles before this. Between the seiyuu's good acting and the mysticism, I'm sold on the medicine seller as character (although I agree with you and Cynthia that it's hard to feel too attached to him so far, like with Ginko or Kino or other travelers).

I'm gonna have to check out that show. After I get through checking out everything else on my table. (I just bought Mushishi volume 2 tonight! Woot! Shiny!)

My top ten results:
1. Director of Photography (Yeah, I could order around people.)
2. Musician (This requires tallent in music....)
3. Composer (...which I don't have.)
4. Special Effects Technician (Eh, in my dreams.)
5. Casting Director (God, that would be cool.)
6. Comedian (No thanks.)
7. Film Editor (*cries* What I actually went to school FOR)
8. Lighting Technician (Lighting is a pain in the ass.)
9. Dancer (HA!)
10. Sound Technician (I could do sound, not my forte.)

My actual college degree is a Bachelor's of Science in Communications Media with a concentration in Video. So this hits the mark in most areas. Good test.

Number 11 was Stuntperson. o.O #15 was Power Plant operator O.O!! 17. Desktop Publisher (Which is actually what I sorta do. I layout newspapers.) 20 was cartoonist/comic artist which is somewhat nice, since I used to have some webcomics.
Way down at 27 was Graphic Designer which is again, sorta what I do for a living.

It's a strange show and not as engaging as Mushishi, but I find it cool to watch. The "prequel" is the third story from Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror, called Bakeneko. Basically, if you like Bakeneko, you'll like Mononoke. Same character, same art, etc.
