Little pigmoles may be badass
Tomorrow! Tomorrow there's Avatar, and there's The IT Crowd. Saturdays FTW!
I need to get up to date with Denno Coil, dayum. Badly. I just noticed there are new episodes in subs, I suck.
In order to soothe the withdrawal feelings, I decided to give it a chance and slowly marathoned Gurren Lagann on Youtube while it was still there (at least two episodes I had to watch in Spanish because there weren't English uploads).
Um, well. It IS a good anime, and it delivers the epicness. It probably wouldn't rank in my favorites, but I liked it better than I thought. The pacing is strange sometimes: some episodes were just too slow compared to the rest. No, I don't mean lack of battles -I adored episode 23, and it was one of those. But perhaps it was just a false impression produced by subplots/characters getting on my nerves on those scenes? But still, it was good, and I managed to get somehow fond of some 'minor' characters I never thought I would. I'm surprised over liking Viral, for instance, as he at first didn't seem the kind of character I'm into. Not so much over Kittan and Leeron, as they amused me since day one. And I'm just relieved for Rossiu's closure, because I still had faith he had reasons to be an asshat and didn't doubt he was feeling awful deep down.
By the way, I must be weird because my OTP is, from all things, Rossiu/Kinon. Hah. Attack of the extremely minor canon couple once again! Other couples need kisses or engagement rings or babies to be canon; this one needs him, the prude prat, not minding her bum on his lap XD Considering it's Rossiu, that's a big step or something.
I'll go have dinner right now. But first, sharing something made of WTF win. Super Mario World meets Hare Hare Yukai. This one is so close to the Megaman version in terms of amusement :DDD (One day I'll compile my collection of Suzumiya crossovers, really.)
ETA: Okay, it's not really TOMORROW, but I won't be able to download them tonight. I'll be sleeping while you guys are fangirling Avatar, because time difference is a bitch D:

And see didn't I tell you, you would like other characters besides Kamina. I like Kinon/Rossiu a lot too actually but I guess my Gurren Lagann OTP is the predictable but cute Simon/Nia. And episode 23 is one of my favorites too. Although I think 11 and 22 are my overall favorites so far.
And I love Viral but he is the type of character I usually like so that wasn't really surprising for me. And Kittan is King. :D

Yeah, I know, I know. But the plot was overwhelming me in some parts
and giving me bad, anxiety-driven Zelda flashbacks, and I couldn't grow to characters if I was close to drop the towel.I didn't think I was going to like Viral, even if I've liked redeemed antagonic friends before. At the beginning he reminded me of Envy and that was making me all uncomfortable for a while. But now he's one of my favorites.
Liking Kittan was awful because I was spoiled before marathoning, and there was this shadow of DOOM every time he owned the spoitlight. The bright side was that it didn't hit me as I had lots of time to get used to the idea. I even smiled while it happened because it was epic.

I actually thought Viral would turn good as soon as we met him because I swore I heard his seiyuu in the opening scene in episode 1. Of course everyone tells me I am wrong about that. Although by episode 13 I knew he would turn good 100% from the way the plot was moving. I love that scene when he finds out he was fighting against Simon not Kamina all that time.
And I was still really bummed about Kittan's death (even though I expected it) but it was certainly epic.
