OMG a buena hora!

Enough with the public announcement in Spanish. My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas, if an iPod or a Wii. Honestly, right now? ...Neither. Sure, I wanted an iPod some months ago, but I just bought my 2GB Kimihiro a while back, and I feel bad about replacing it while it still works. And the Wii, well, I do want one but not right now. It's just that there's nothing in the current game catalog that calls me. I have Twilight Princess for GC, Mario games in 3D aren't my thing, Smash Bros Brawl is still developing -my brothers will get that one anyway-, and I'm still debating whether I'll get the Okami port or not when it's out. Also, the only Wii pack available is the one with that generic Sports game that's boring for single playing, and that sucks balls.

It was easier when they just gave me money. Except they noticed I spend almost all of it in books and manga and stuff related to manga, and they hate that. Nnnng.

How about asking for a gift certificate? :)

No go. They know I'll spend it in books and manga. Or give me one for a store with NO books and manga, and that's pretty much useless.

I think it might be hard to persuade parents about manga. But I think most parents would be happy their daughter spends money on books. :)

...Not mine. She'd much rather me to be "normal" and waste it all in clothes and jewelry, like she does now, along with house decorations did when she was young. I take the geek middle path, which is her to buy me technology or gadgets or videogames. Except I can't think of anything I don't have that I truly need this time...

Well actually my mom wishes I would spend money on clothes and jewelry too. I finally bought a new watch for myself after 10 years and she was really happy. But if I brought home DVDs or books she says I am wasting my money. In both cases I think it is something not really needed.

But the Wii is fun! 8D But money is better D; LOL, beg your parents for money instead of the choices between the iPod and the Wii. XD;;

Um, it IS fun if you have a game to play in it. Which I don't. Not yet. All the games that are out, I don't want to play them. And I'm not having another console to be covered in dust for months. I want to get my own when Brawl or something cool is out.

I'm getting money, but from the other relatives. My mom much rather give me something material. She thought of those two because I considered them on my birthday, and because usually I just have her to buy me electronics that I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. Except I can't think of any I need for this holiday.

They say I have too many books/manga and nowhere to put them. And since I'm a messy person, that means they're rarely in their place.

Probably they're just frustrated I'm not a normal 25 year-old who wastes her money in clothes and shoes, or something.

Cosplay: yo no hago cosplay.

I personally have this Thing about iPods, so I'd say to go for the Wii, or some other game console, if you can't make your parents notice that all of the games out now don't interest you and that money for books and manga because you can never have too much of either would be best.

Or you can ask for an e-book reader. Those are nice, and Sony has a pretty good one out.

See Shira. See Shira ramble. Ramble, Shira, ramble!
